- In Ireland, Halvar and his men make fun of a dance-off duel between two Irishmen, a local custom. Unimpressed, the local Chief, Fergus, challenges Halvar, who accepts. But when he realizes he will have to dance, Halvar freezes from stage fright. This is another insult for the Irishmen, who put the Vikings in a dungeon. Thanks to Vic, they escape the dungeon, only to get caught again. Vic challenges Fergus into a dance-off for their freedom. He wins using arrowheads on the flint slab to create sparks and the first real tap dance ever.—Heidi Spyri
- Weary of the reputedly ruthless Irish warriors, the Flake Vikings observe them hidden, but are noticed laughing hilariously over the sight of a dance duel. The winner, chieftain Fergus, warns them not to insult their custom and challenges Halvar to a dance, but they can't take it seriously and he freezes, despite speedy lessons from bard Ulme. the punishment is incarceration of the whole band. Luring their proud jailer to dance himself to sleep, Vic manages to escape, but a dumb row while the pretend to be transported tips off the Irish guardians of the ship. So they are captured again and risk seeing the drakkar torched, but Vic challenges Fergus to a dance duel, promising to display how to dominate the sport henceforth, using modified arrows.—KGF Vissers
