By request of the elders of the Wixárika (Huichol) People from the Sierra Madre. They urgently wanted that the story of their fight for the sacred territory, land of the peyote and their holy natural shrines, was told to the world. Their mission: to keep on caring for the balance of the entire planet through their millenarian rituals in this magnetic point in the center of Mexico. Their fright: the whole area was granted in concession to transnational mining companies that threaten the "Heart of the World" with their drills and chemicals. But at the same time they could provide jobs for the needy inhabitants of the region. An unequal fight that triggers a contemporary debate about the values of ancestral cultures and the needs of alternatives to support the inevitable development of the peoples.
