After its movie "Music Teacher" released on Netflix, production banner Yoodlee Films is set to expand its footprint in the web space.
It will create a bouquet of stories in the web series format for various Over-The-Top (Ott) platforms. A specially assigned team has been given the responsibility of creating unique and interesting stories, read a statement from the banner.
Siddharth Anand Kumar, Vice President, Films and TV and Producer at Yoodlee Films, said: "While we will continue to make films. We think that the time is right to venture into telling stories through web series. Web series gives us the opportunity to tell an interesting narrative which is not bound by the required length of a feature film.

National Award-winning actress Divya Dutta, who has been appreciated for "Music Teacher", says she is choosing scripts wisely as the tags of "unconventional heroine" and "character actor" have finally gone from the psyche of the film fraternity.
Divya told Ians in an interview here: "Thankfully, I have managed to come out of those tags that industry people have always given me...like 'unconventional heroine' or 'character actor'.
"I understand their situation too because in our film industry, in the commercial zone, people tend to categorise talent. They can see that in some films, I am playing the lead role, so they can't call me a 'character' there... But on the other hand, when I am playing an important part in a big budget film, they see me as a character actor."

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez is set to make her debut in the digital space with Netflix's upcoming thriller "Mrs Serial Killer", according to the streaming service on Wednesday. The film is directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by his wife Farah Khan. "So thrilled that Jacqueline makes her digital debut with our film 'Mrs Serial Killer'. Beginning with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, which will produce Class Of 83 to be helmed by writer director Atul Sabharwal (Aurangzeb). The movie revolves around a righteous policeman and his complexities. Mumbai, April 5: Acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is making significant inroads into commercial Hindi cinema, has been signed on to play a major role in the next Salman Khan blockbuster "Kick". He is excited about sharing the frame with the superstar.
"I've been told not to say anything about my role. But I am looking forward to working with Salman Khan. He is such a huge star and doing terrific work," said Nawazuddin.
For now, he is gearing up to work hard for the role of a classical vocalist in a forthcoming film. He would be hiring himself a Hindustani classical vocal maestro to train him.

Neeraj Ghaywan, who has directed the award-winning short Shor, won the 2014 Sundance Institute | Mahindra Global Filmmaking Award for his feature film script Flying Away Solo (Ud Jaayega).
In Flying Away Solo, four lives intersect along the Ganges river: a lower-caste boy in a hopeless love, a daughter torn with guilt, a father sinking in greed, and a spirited kid craving a family, all yearning to escape the constrictions of a small-town.
Neeraj Ghaywan assisted Anurag Kashyap on Gangs of Wasseypur and Ugly. His short film Shor won the Satyajit Ray Foundation’s Short Film Award at the London Indian Film Festival 2012; and the Best Short Film awards at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (Iffla) 2012 and South Asian International Film Festival (Saiff) 2011.
