"There Is No Line" explores the truth of the modern-day American immigration system: the United States no longer welcomes the "tired, poor huddled masses" we're telling to get in that "line" for the American dream the same way our ancestors did. The image of the line presumes that even today, anyone in the world willing to wait it out should be able to immigrate to the United States "the right way." But with the simple truth that 99% of the world population has no legal ability to do so, it's time to change the conversation.
