The Masonic Shriners
A crowd of Shriners march in their hundreds through Luna Park.
The Shriners were founded in 1870, a Masonic group that stresses fun, fellowship and having a good time, often in silly little cars at local parades. Currently there are 350,000 Shriners worldwide; their best known charity is the hospital named for them in Los Angeles. To become a Shriner, you have to be a Master Mason.
Like other movies of this event, this short was shot for AM&B by Frederick Armitage; it was probably intended to be shown at events sponsored by the organization.
