Terrible word play in the title, weak movie

So, this is one of the five "Engel" movies since 2011 so far. In the center of it is a lawyer who helps those in need. As the title for this one already implies it is about two cases of medical malpractice (kidneys, breasts). Strangely enough, they included a similar plot in the only other film I watched (and reviewed). So this is either a frequently recurring theme for this franchise or they simply don't know about new plots. In any case, this is a forgettable series. It hurts that the main character is depicted and written as a perfect saint. They try so hard to make her likable and the result does not look realistic at all. She just has no character. And that is possibly the worst that could have happened.

The film is directed by Sigi Rothemund, a very experienced filmmaker and father of Marc Rothemund, the director behind the Academy award nominated Sophie Scholl movie. The lead character is played by Katja Weitzenböck, an experienced actress, who does not have great range though from what I have seen so far. Also, basically these Engel movies look very much the same to me. The story is different in detail, but in general I would say that if you have seen one, you have seen them all. Maybe the film's writer Jürgen Werner just lacks creativity. It's a bit of a pity as the cast is not bad at all: Atzorn, von Weitershausen, Brandrup, Gruber and Besson offered room for a quality movie. All established and known actors. However, I felt this film was slightly repetitive and also started to drag here and there despite only running for 90 minutes (as most television production). And I certainly did not like how everything got fixed in the last 5 minutes to give the audience a happy end. So unrealistic and forced. A forgettable movie. Not recommended.
