- On the German side of the Oder, Leon Herne, who was part of a hunting party, is found dead with a gunshot wound. The two detectives Alexandra Luschke and Karl Rogov, who are investigating this case together for the first time, follow his trail through the forest to the Polish side, where the group spent the night. Here Rogov meets the heavily drunk Konstantin Richtmann. The third in the group, Daniel Pillokat, has, as it turns out, disappeared. Richtmann foregoes the legal assistance of his father and patriarch, Dr. Albrecht Richtmann, in whose law firm the three work and face fierce competition. Hunting leader Marek Kulesza, who is responsible for the hunting party, also has no alibi for the time of the crime. He had called off the hunt because the three lawyers in the forest were acting like landlords and had no regard for the safety measures to contain African swine fever. Rogov and Luschke are dealing with suspects who are very aware of their rights. You need to find out if a competitor has been eliminated or a hunt has gone awry. Only when Rogov and trainee Viola Reusch from the German-Polish Swiecko Commissariat make a surprising discovery at the crime scene do the pieces of the puzzle come together.—ADR Das Erste
