Extreme Makeover: Home Edition preformered well for ABC for many years. Could American Dream Builders be a ratings success for NBC or will it be cancelled after one season? We shall see.
On American Dream Builders, designers and builders must quickly rennovate homes and avoid elimination by pleasing the judges (Nate Berkus, Eddie George, and Monica Pedersen).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

The amiable Nate Berkus returns to home improvement TV with NBC's "American Dream Builders" Sunday, March 23.
This show sets an ambitious goal: Two teams renovate two houses of the same architectural style in the same neighborhood -- in a week. As executive producer, host and one of the judges, Berkus selected the 12 designers, who must work together.
"The decision was made that they would all be professionals and very established in their own communities and local markets," Berkus tells Zap2it. "They weren't fighting to become the next anything.
They already have very successful businesses and clients, and some of them had worked 20 years to build that. And this show is not about discovering new talent. It is about bringing established talent into everyone's home. Every week two homes are renovated from wall studs up and re-created and reimagined. That will give lots of people ideas."

NBC's new reality show American Dream Builders puts a spin on the home makeover TV genre.
While the series has all the feel-good inspiration we've come to expect of the genre, American Dream Builders ups the drama by pitting dueling teams of designers against each other in a competition to give two families their dream homes. As people are eliminated each week, the teams grow smaller, forcing the remaining players to take on even more responsibility.
"We are changing the lives of these families. We are changing the way they think about themselves by waking up in a beautiful home that's been designed exactly how they want to live," host Nate Berkus says in this exclusive first look.

Nate Berkus and his fiancé Jeremiah Brent are both designers, so who will be planning their wedding? "I always joke that I'm the boss of his whole life now that we're engaged, but the truth is I'm the boss of nothing at home. You have two designers planning a wedding," Berkus, 42, told People at NBC's Television Critics Association event in Pasadena, Calif., on Sunday. "We don't fight or argue about design decisions, we fight about important things like who gets the last piece of pizza. That's like death match," the reality TV personality and pal to Oprah Winfrey joked. But...

NBC's new reality competition series "American Dream Builders" is putting a new spin on the architecture renovation TV series genre. Hosted and executive produced by Nate Berkus, the new project pits teams of expert architects against one another for cash prizes.
Every week, the team of designers will renovate two homes from around the country. "American Dream Builders'" judges, which include former NFL star Eddie George and Monica Pedersen, will then choose between the two homes based on the redesign, the respect to the homeowner's wishes and the overall comfort of the new space.
"If Eddie can't watch football wherever they put the sofa, he wants to send them home," Pedersen quips during "American Dream Builders'" TCA 2014 winter press tour panel.
The contestants, all of whom are experts in their field, just renovate homes that are existing and don't add any square footage or anything extra to the buildings.
