Growing as an artist with every project, Farhan Akhtar shared a video on social media in which we see him working out intensely. Interestingly, the actor is also seen growing his beard as he preps for his upcoming film Toofan. Playing with words and putting it in a smartly structured manner which syncs into a situation, is an art and Farhan Akhtar definitely aces it.
The actor is seen wearing his gym wear and carrying out his regular exercise but rather in our words, we say he is prepping up for his next movie Toofan. He took to his social media post in which it read, "And just when you think the 2 hour session is over, they make you sign out with this. ?? Thanks ?? @drewnealpt ??????? @samir_jaura #ToofanInTheMaking #boxerlife #fitnessgoals #coreworkout #keepgoing ?? Beast #robbaileyandthehustlestandard."

Taking place at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Sheffield, HorrorCon UK is one of the highlights of the UK horror convention calendar. We’ve been to a number of the events since its launch in 2015 and this years event looks to be the greatest yet!
With genre icon Dee Wallace already announced to appear HorrorCon UK organisers have announced the latest guest in attendance this year – none other than actor Billy Wirth (pictured below). Wirth is probably best known for his iconic role, as the long haired biker vampire “Dwayne” in Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys (1987); but Wirth has also appeared in the films Body Snatchers, Boys on the Side, Echoes, Being Flynn, Seven Mummies, Powder Blue, Starlight, as well as popular TV series such as Charmed, Sex & the City, Tales from the Crypt, Chicago P.D. and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The title Echoes suggests empty space, in which voices long silenced might be preserved through the sheer lack of obstruction. The desert setting, with its wide, parched vistas, matches this ethos, but so too, unfortunately, does the screenplay, which never propels its action forward any faster than a meandering tortoise that might be seen in the background. There’s something to be said for the commitment to spacey atmosphere, and the mysteries that may emerge from it, but writer/director Nils Timm’s command of it is never strong enough to give it any real effect, making Echoes fainter and fainter as it goes along.

Feeling wide awake while asleep, she can't move... and she's not alone. Anna Parker's sleep paralysis strikes with a supernatural slant in Echoes, the feature film writing and directing debut of Nils Timm. With Echoes now available on Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment, we had a chance to talk with Timm, who discussed taking a unique approach to the haunted house sub-genre, portraying the different social masks people wear in real life, his personal brush with sleep paralysis during filming, and much more.
What attracted you to the subject of sleep paralysis?
Nils Timm: Before I wrote Echoes, I was researching a lot of stories about lucid dreaming. I was experimenting with that a little bit myself, read everything about it, and interviewed several people in circles of friends and colleagues about this. At least one out of every six or seven people would say, ‘Yes,...

In the indie horror game, narrative storytelling is everything. Even on the tightest budget, with the most inexperienced actors, a filmmaker can still pump out the next big genre “thing” as long as it’s a story worth telling. Granted, the other aspects can’t equate to kindergarten bullshit and film school inexperience, but when a story is That tasty, so indulgently succulent and juicy, it’s hard to keep from scarfing it down.
With that said, Echoes is not horror’s next smash hit. It lacks the creative ingenuity of It Follows, the charm of Turbo Kid, and the practical goriness of Stitches, but it’s interesting enough to keep viewers at attention for a brisk hour and a half. I know that doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement, but compared to the heap of sloppy continuity-inept nightmares I’ve been forced to sit through recently, Nils Timm...

Read More: Are Indie Horror Movies In Trouble? Written and directed by Nils Timm, "Echoes" follows young writer Anna (Kate French), who struggles with terrifying, sleep-paralysis induced visions. Ana goes on a retreat with her boyfriend (Steven Brand) to an isolated yet stunning glass house in the desert. Hoping her surroundings will induce some creative inspiration, Anna stays behind while her boyfriend returns to the city for business. As evident from the trailer, despite the calming environment of the desert, Anna's sleep paralysis does not cease. Anna fears she is losing her mind as her attacks are accompanied by a terrifying figure that appears to be made of dried mud. "I know what I've seen," she tells her boyfriend. The film seems like it will be an interesting take on the dreams vs. reality trope, and as an added bonus, the cinematography looks beautiful. An official selection of the New York City...
