In his Jr year of high school, Johnson's metal shop teacher, Daryl Radcliff, gave out an assignment for people to create a safety video for the equipment at the school. Johnson utilized a very basic animation program to create a funny animated safety video.
Realizing that Johnson was passionate about filmmaking & had no access to professional equipment, Radcliff purchased a small device that allowed users to add graphics and transitions to their videos, and started an elective video making class.
With his teacher's permission, Johnson borrowed the device for a weekend. With no script, no plan, and no budget, George & his younger brother Ben (who later starred in DREAMER: The Movie) spent that Saturday making up this film as they went along, and then editing it with two VHS VCR's & this transition device. The video was a hit at school, and Mr. Radcliff showed it to future classes for years after Johnson had graduated.
