Phoebe Dynevor has addressed hopes among Bridgerton fans that her character will return in the forthcoming third season.
The actor played Daphne Bassett, the eldest Bridgerton daughter, in the first two seasons of the hit Netflix period drama.
Dynevor’s role in season two was much smaller than it was in the first season, with the story switching focus to other characters in the Bridgerton world.
Now, in a red carpet interview with ScreenRant, Dynevor revealed that her character would not be featuring in the next season of Bridgerton.
However, she did give fans of the character reason to hope – suggesting that she could yet return to the series in future.
“Sadly not in season three,” Dynevor said. “Potentially in the future. But season three, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer.”

After starring in the upcoming “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” it looks like Phoebe Waller-Bridge has developed a taste for treasure hunting. The Emmy-winning “Fleabag” creator is reportedly developing a TV series adaptation of the popular “Tomb Raider” video game series for Amazon, The Hollywood Reporter reported January 27.
The project comes as part of Waller-Bridge’s overall deal with Amazon, which she renewed earlier this month. The renewal also came with the news that she was adapting the book “Sign Here” by Claudia Lux into a series. Waller-Bridge will write the in-development project but reportedly won’t star as gun-toting adventurer Lara Croft. She executive produces with Ryan Andolina and Amanda Greenblatt, former Amazon heads of comedy and drama and overall deals who launched their own studio but have an overall deal with Prime Video.
Amazon declined to comment on the news to IndieWire.

Since 1983, Warwick Davis has played 15 different characters throughout the many "Star Wars" iterations. At age 12, Davis played the head Ewok, Wicket, in "Return of the Jedi," a role he reprised for two subsequent Ewok-based "Star Wars" spinoffs, as well as providing a cameo in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker." In "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," Davis served as a body double for Yoda, played a greed-headed alien named Wald, and a spectator at the film's podraces named Weazel. Davis has also played various droids and voiced a few aliens throughout.
Weazel was a character that, according to Davis, was initially meant to be another masked alien. During production, however, director George Lucas felt that it was high time that Davis' face be seen on screen in a "Star Wars" film, and he was outfitted with hair extensions instead. Weazel was seated next to the character Watto (Anthony Secombe), an unscrupulous,...

Chloe Domont’s “Fair Play,” a Wall Street drama that has premiered at Sundance, sold to Netlfix in a 20 million worldwide rights deal, according to an individual with knowledge of the deal.
“Fair Play” is led by “Solo” star Alden Ehrenreich and Phoebe Dynevor as Luke and Emily, co-workers at a financial firm who are deeply in love and about to be engaged. But their relationship falls apart when Emily gets a promotion at their firm, leading to a change in power dynamics that poisons their personal lives and eventually leads to violence. Eddie Marsan and Rich Sommer also star in the film.
The film sparked a bidding war that included Searchlight and Neon. It fell short of the 25 million record for a Sundance sale, set in 2021 by Apple’s “Coda,” but did surpass the 17.5 million of the previous record holders — 2020’s “Palm Springs” and 2016’s “The Birth of a Nation.

“Fair Play,” one of the buzziest movies to premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, has sold to Netflix in a massive 20 million deal. The pact is for global rights.
Given the warm reception, the film sparked a bidding war among several key distributors, including Searchlight and Neon. It’s not the only film drawing intense interest — John Carney’s “Flora and Son,” a musical drama with Eve Hewson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, is also attracting several bidders, according to sources.
Chloe Domont directed “Fair Play” in her feature debut. In the psychological thriller, “Bridgerton” breakout Phoebe Dynevor and “Solo” star Alden Ehrenreich play a newly engaged couple who keeps their relationship a secret because they work together at a cut-throat hedge fund. When Dynevor’s character Emily gets promoted over Ehrenreich’s Luke, the couple’s power dynamic shifts irrevocably.

Riri Williams has touched down in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The first look at “Ironheart” was debuted out of Marvel’s presentation at the D23 convention Saturday. Unfortunately, the video was an exclusive for those in the room and won’t be released to the public — but Variety was on the scene to describe the teaser for the rest of you.
Dominique Thorne stars as the new hero in the Disney+ series, which follows a genius, 15-year-old MIT student — taught by a character played by Jim Rash — who creates a suit of armor inspired by Iron Man. “What I’m doing. It’s important. It’s iconic,” Thorne’s Riri said in the first look footage.
The teaser showed “In The Heights” breakout actor Anthony Ramos playing a villainous role in the series. The tattooed and stacked character appears to pay Riri to steal materials from the MIT lab, and...

Back in 2016, Lucasfilm's Han Solo spin-off was one of the most highly-anticipated films on the horizon and the role of young Han was the most coveted in Hollywood (this was before everything got ... dramatic). There wasn't a white male actor under the age of 30 who wasn't throwing their hat in the ring for the part, and the rumor mill was steadily chugging until Alden Ehrenreich was finally cast in the summer of 2016. Some of the prospective casting for young Han turned out to be speculation later on, but at least one rumored Han hopeful actually had...
