- By a strange starry night, Catherine Deneuve is looking forward to playing a theater performance. But through the dark Parisian alleys, obstacles to her journey are many and will force her to give up her precious finery.
- By a strange starry night, Catherine Deneuve is rushing to the Odeon theater, where she is to play a performance. As she is walking through the dark alleys of the Quartier Latin, first she is stolen her nice foulard by a mysterious black hand. Moving on, she encounters a strange wanderer, who keeps on joking with her. Being delayed, she gets upset and offers him money. The wanderer is deeply offended and warns her of secular hands robbing people for centuries. Then, he turns afraid and disappears. Later on, walking along the railings of the park Notre Dame, she is attacked by several black hands who grip her, strangle her and strip of her precious finery. But at the last moment, the wanderer runs to her aid and flees the attackers with his wooden hand. Finally, this so called Catherine Deneuve can get through the theater where she gives up even the dress to the sound of applause.—Benoît Mars
