After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.

Dandadan follows the wild adventures of high school students Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, who become entangled in the paranormal world. Momo is a spirited gyaru with ties to spiritualism, while Ken is an awkward loner obsessed with UFOs.
When they’re suddenly thrust into dealing with ghosts and aliens at the same time, their mismatched beliefs collide. From the get-go, it’s clear these protagonists will find themselves in bizarre scenarios as they attempt to understand their mysterious new reality.
Guiding the anarchic journey is animation house Science Saru, known for visual experimentation in works like Devilman Crybaby. They’ve set out to adapt Yukinobu Tatsu’s original manga series.
In this review, we’ll take a look at the vibrant characters, thrilling scenarios, and visual storytelling of Dandadan’s early episodes to understand what makes this anomaly of a show worth keeping an eye on.

Science Saru creates something murderous and magical with its coming of age supernatural rom-com that mixes aliens, ghosts, and supernatural phenomena.
“Do only scum live in this world?”
There is an endless amount of supernatural horror anime that get under the audience’s skin, but none of them are quite like Dan Da Dan, a delirious mash-up of different paranormal phenomena that coalesce together into something truly surreal and special. Dan Da Dan: First Encounter, based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, tells a poetic, enlightening, and frightening story about faith, friendship, and conquering demons – whether they’re figurative or literal. I haven’t been this impressed and surprised by an anime in a long time and Dan Da Dan is a series that’s destined to be one of the biggest anime of the year – and potentially even the decade – if it maintains this momentum, mystique, and rich character development.

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains Demon Slayer Manga spoilers.
The massive popularity and the commercial success of Demon Slayer is extraordinary. Besides the spectacular animation, what hooked fans to the series were the characters. The series had an easy-to-understand power structure that categorized the characters as either good or evil. The demons represented evil, while the Demon Slayer Corps and the Hashira fought for justice. The Demon Slayer corps were extremely strong, especially the Hashira, but it’s intriguing how their leader wasn’t ever able to fight.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki was the head of the Demon Slayers, but he was battling with a life-threatening disease, and that prevented him from engaging in fights. Even then, he led the Hashira through his foresight and his exemplary vision. He had an eye for talent, and the youngest Hashira best exemplifies Kagaya’s exceptional foresight.

Dandadan is a genre-bending anime that combines so many moods and themes. Fuuga Yamashiro, the director behind the anime adaptation, has promised to take the Dandadan adaptation to new cinematic heights that will transcend boundaries. This is huge in the world of anime as they already challenge the visual boundaries animation can do. The unpredictability of Dandadan will make way to become one of the most popular anime and it could dethrone a few others.
Popular series such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer are praised for their incredibly fluid art styles. From the character designs to the fighting choreography, it’s hard to beat these two in the game. However, Dandadan and Fuuga Yamashiro have taken up that challenge personally. Will Yamashiro put Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer to shame?

Even in the age of digital piracy and torrent sites, major television leaks aren’t terribly common. However, when they do happen, they can be harder to contain, especially in a time where people are able to post entire movies on X (formerly Twitter).
As hard as studios try to keep their intellectual property under wraps, sometimes there are still things that slip through the cracks. Whether released by hackers, network error, or some other unfortunate circumstance, here are some of the most disruptive TV episode leaks to happen in recent history.

Just the other week, the season finale of HBO's House of the Dragon leaked online, the result of "an unintentional release from an international third-party distributor." Episodes of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon have been leaking ahead of time for years, so while this was surely vexing for Warner Bros. Discovery, it's not their first time at the rodeo.
But they're not the only ones going through this kind of thing. Recently, full episodes of several Netflix shows leaked, according to The Wrap. This include episodes from upcoming seasons of Heartstopper (which premieres October 3) and Arcane (which is due out in November), as well as from the animated show Terminator Zero, which drops on August 29. “One of our post-production partners has been compromised and footage from several of our titles has unfortunately leaked online," Netflix said in a statement. "Our team is aggressively taking action to have it taken down.

Netflix & the localization company Iyuno, have at last released statements addressing the recent leaks of the upcoming titles that were set to premiere on the streaming platform later this year.
In their statement, a Netflix spokesperson confirmed that a breach occurred through one of its post-production partners.
While Netflix did not specify which post-production company was affected, the company assured fans that they are currently working to remove the leaked content from the internet.
“One of our post-production partners has been compromised and footage from several of our titles has unfortunately leaked online. Our team is aggressively taking action to have it taken down.”
However, the next day, Iyuno, which is a post production company partnered with Netflix for its localization services, put out a statement on their official website confirming the security breach on their end.
The company stated that they are actively investigating the leaks and trying to find the responsible party.

Multiple episodes of several anticipated Animes have been leaked online(Photo Credit –YouTube)
The anime industry has once again been hit by the worst case of data breach and online leak. Some of Netflix’s most popular and anticipated anime, including Dandadan, Shonen Jump+, Terminator Zero, and Ranma1/2 have been leaked online way ahead of their official release date.
This is not the first time, but this sure is the worst case of an anime leak, as not just an episode or a movie but multiple episodes of several shows have been leaked. Crunchyroll had a similar experience in April when episodes of some Spring 2024 anime were leaked a week ahead of their official release. This leak has also affected Crunchyroll, as Dandadan’s episodes were supposed to be simulcast on the platform.
Everything started on August 6, when low-quality copies of these anticipated projects started surfacing on piracy websites like BitTorrent.

Update 8/8/24: We have confirmed that several episodes of the upcoming second season of "Arcane" have also leaked, continuing the bad news for the anime world. Our original article from August 7 continues below.
The anime industry just got hit with one of the worst leaks in history. Though spoilers and small leaks are relatively common, particularly phone-recorded leaks at big events like Anime Expo, production screeners of upcoming titles don't tend to leak very often. What makes this an especially egregious leak is that multiple high-profile productions suffered episode leaks -- and of multiple episodes each.
The leak began with the opening and ending themes for anticipated titles like the remake of "Ranma ½," as well as the opening for the "Dandadan" anime adaptation. But then it snowballed and the leak is threatening multiple areas of the industry. According to AnimeNewsNetwork, the first four episodes of "Ranma ½," the first six episodes of "Dandadan,...

Netflix is facing intense criticism after the first six episodes of the upcoming Dandadan anime, produced by Science Saru, were leaked online.
The anime, which is set to premiere in October 2024, was slated for streaming on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
The leak reportedly originated from a server-side hack involving Netflix and their dubbing partner in Asia, and spread rapidly across various online platforms.
This incident has not only affected Dandadan but has also led to the leaks of other anime projects, including the remake of Ranma 1/2, episodes of Terminator Zero, and the Mononoke movie.
This has raised serious concerns about the security measures in place at Netflix and their partners.
Social media platforms have been flooded with reactions from fans criticizing Netflix for its apparent failure to protect unreleased content.

The ever-changing world of manga and anime has often blessed its fans with a ton of titles that have featured compelling storylines, characters, and unique concepts that have hooked their viewers. The industry was once ruled by legendary titles like Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, and many more.

However, once they came to an end, newer titles replaced them, which managed to establish a meaningful connection with their viewers. It looks like the cycle is going to repeat as three of the biggest new generations are drawing a curtain, and titles are set to take their place.
Although several titles have recently gained popularity, only three are trusted enough to carry on the legacy and become the newest faces of the industry. These new series are none other than Kagurabachi, Kaiju No. 8, and Chainsaw Man, which have been heavily backed by the fans.

While fans dubbed Dandadan as the next big obsession following its recent world premiere at Anime Expo 2024, the creative process, vision and challenges that went into in order to bring the manga to the big screen remained largely unknown.
However, recent interviews with the director of the anime (at Anime Expo 2024) shed some light into this, giving fans a glimpse into what went behind the scenes during the production.
For director Fuga Yamashiro, the biggest challenge was to find a way to translate Dandadan manga faithfully into anime.
Often, a good anime adaptation is equated with the quality of visuals. However, for Yamashiro, adapting Dandadan didn’t just mean to have a beautiful looking anime.
When Yamashiro first read the manga, he was impressed by what Dandadan had to offer. And he was aware that this feeling might get diluted as the manga got adapted into the anime – something he...

Currently, these two are enjoying being at the top of the new generation of anime. But they might have to leave the first place for another fan-favorite manga, which has been headlining the internet since mid-2023.

Ever since the anime community has gained world recognition, the one thing that has remained constant is the love for the Japanese version of the many series from the community. The premiere was met with overwhelmingly positive reactions from fans.
Following the premiere, social media exploded with praises, with fans calling Dandadan a ’10/10′ and predicting it would be the new biggest anime.
The fluid animation style, which some likened to that of Mob Psycho, drew appreciation, along with the dynamic action set pieces and unique color composition of the scenes.
The fights were also lauded as perfect & well choreographed, yet chaotic and raw.
The anime’s emotional quotient was also praised by fans, especially Ken’s proclamation to save Momo and Momo’s awakening of her powers, which struck a chord with viewers.
They claimed that these scenes surpassed even the manga’s impact.
