Transformers: Go! is a Japanese exclusive spin-off mini series of
Transformers Prime (2010) that diverges from the end of its second season. For reasons unclear, Japan hasn't localized the third season of TF Prime and rewrote the cliffhanger that concluded its second season, so instead of the Decepticons having a clear (if only temporary) victory over the Autobots who then go into hiding all over Earth, the fate of all the characters is left undisclosed.
The series is meant to replace the show's unreleased third season. It starts off with all the Autobots and Decepticons having left Earth, which is now threatened by a Predacon army created by Shockwave. A new team of Autobots called the Swordbots is tasked with fighting the Predacons and keeping them from reviving their former leader Dragotron.
The mini-series was made available through DVDs packaged with certain Japanese television magazines, and is meant to promote the Transformers: Go! toyline, which is also exclusive to the Japanese market.
