"Kibitzer" is set in early 1900s Germany, following the story of Mona, a young Jewish girl, her pregnant mother Lisa and her father, Paul Rosenthal, a struggling fisherman. Threatened by a rent increase, Paul faces uncertainty and financial strain. However, with the unwavering support and playful ideas of his daughter, Mona, he discovers hope, strength, and the ability to believe in himself in the face of latent antisemitism. In this poignant tale, young Mona proves that sometimes, clever and creative solutions emerge from the purest and most unexpected sources.
