I was looking forward to this film. What a disappointing mess. The story was incoherent, and the editing was jagged and disjointed. Rustin, the film is more style than substance. I finished watching the movie, but in the end, I was left feeling deflated. The lead actor was unwatchable. The editing made it difficult to follow the thin storyline. The movie felt like a series of video clips the director had sliced together with no overall narrative or flow. After watching this film, I did not want to learn more about Rustin, the person. The acting was wooden, with zero chemistry between the lead and the other characters.
