There are some interesting aspects of Malta: the entrepreneurs of Malta ( Olivia and Charly, the French expatriate and theeir espadrille store, Alex Scicluna and the production of 80 local products-the raviolis-), the globigerina limestone ( Manuel Baldacchino and his stone quarry, Nicolas the worker in the quarry, Konrad Buhagiar, the architect combining modern and traditional architecture, Rosalio Agius, the manager of the Agius Stone Works, Christopher Misfut, the stonecutter whoprepares elements of architecture and statues made from globigerina limestone, the Museum of the Limestone Heritage), the passion for the old and classic cars (the British influence, Tony Ross, the old car collectorm the 5.000 old cars in the island, Barry and Nick Cole, the mechanics who enjoy repairing old cars, Carol Galea, the old and classic cars colector-the ustin Healy and the Ford Thunderbird-), the climbing in the cliff of th Gozo Island (Xavier Hancock and Stevie Haston), the International Fest of fireworks ( the participation of English, French, Austrian pyrotechnicians, the 35 factoris of fireworks in Malta, Roderick Zammit, Colin Muscat, Florent Bonafou and Thierry Bonnet), and the life on the Comino ( the Catholic father Carmello Xerri and the mass , Salvo Vella and his family, the last inhabitants of the island, Ian Balzan, the ornithologist and the observation of the migratory birds.
I enjoyed the encounters of Raphaël with Daniela Coppini , te French teacher, with Gabriella Galea , the manager of the female rugby team of Malta, with Antonio Bartolo ( the guide in Mdina), with Joseph in Gozo , with Daphne (the guesthouse in Munxar), with the salt producer in Gozo, with Martin Caruana (the fisherman of Marsaxlokk), with William (the diving in the submarine cave of Comino) and with John Buxall, the mayor of the village of Birgu (the Easter procession and the Easter cake); very nice encounters with very kind Maltese men and women.
