The 'Forest Man' is a short sixteen-minute documentary; it only takes this amount of our time to tell us about an amazing journey that one man takes. It informs us about a small island in India called Majuli, and a man called Jedav Payeng who single handedly plants a forest in the middle of a barren waste land in a third world country.
I was pleasantly surprised by the take the producers took on the themes and ideas of saving the island from global warming. The film was very true to life about the day-to-day issues in the small island. The music selected for the documentary was captivating and brought a sense of empathy to the issue. the music made the film inspirational and sympathised the issue. Without the music the viewers would be left without knowing how the local islanders feel about their island disappearing in front of them.
I would definitely recommend watching this short documentary. The film has taught me that as a community we can make a big difference and I hope others that watch this film feel as inspired as me.
