Two years after the final episode of Flip Or Flop, exes — and HGTV stars — Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall are set to share the screen again in a new series for the network, The Flip Off.
The announcement was made at the Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation by Kathleen Finch, Chairman and CEO, US Networks, drawing some laughs from the audience.
“You laugh but you are going to watch,” Finch quipped.
Eleven years ago, HGTV’s Flip Or Flop helped usher a slew of home renovation shows starring couples and turned then-married new parents Tarek and Christina into instant celebrities. Flip Of Flop became a franchise with multiple spinoffs, but the mothership series came to an end after El Moussa and Hall’s much-publicized divorce.
Both of them remained in the HGTV fold and each has multiple series on the network.

Benny Safdie is late.
Frantic and a bit sweaty, he arrives at Westside Restaurant 40 minutes past our 10 a.m. breakfast, and just five minutes after I email his publicist, “Did Benny forget about the interview?”
Benny forgot about the interview.
Out of breath, he profusely apologizes, offering a Mad Lib of an explanation: “I was spray-painting a Tin Man costume in Central Park.”
Before that, Safdie spends three and a half hours answering my questions, legs cramping in a tight booth, metallic-smudged hands dancing around a heated corn muffin. “This place is awesome,” he says after a stack of plates shatters on the old tiled floor, as servers bark omelet orders across the narrow restaurant.
Safdie, 37, grew up bouncing between his divorced parents in Queens and the Upper West Side, and says he’s been coming to this particular spot since his teenage years, when it used to be open all night.

Showtime's "The Curse" stars Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder as two newlyweds who attempt to launch a house-flipping HGTV series in the town of Española, Nm. However, their show, and their efforts to start a family, become complicated by the presence of what might just be a curse.
The premise might sound a bit absurd, but it also may ring a few bells if you've ever seen any of television's many, many house-flipping and home renovation shows. From HGTV's "Flip or Flop" and "Property Brothers" to Netflix's "Tiny House Nation" and "Dream Home Makeover," it's clear the public has a never-ending appetite for renovation and real-estate-related television. Meanwhile, Stone and Fielder's characters themselves might bring to mind another famous couple in the televised home improvement business - Chip and Joanna Gaines, who cohosted the HGTV show "Fixer Upper" from 2013 to 2018. For good or ill, the new Showtime series "The Curse" just about defies description. On its face, the hourlong dark comedy-drama is a sly and nasty satire of shows like "Love It or List It," "Flip or Flop," and others from the HGTV stable of faux-reality "reality television." One of the series' co-creators, co-writers, and co-stars, Nathan Fielder, has long excelled in making undefinable TV shows that operate on a specific level of bleak comedy that also raises questions of what is and isn't real, and whether anything presented as part of the television landscape can truly embody reality. The other co-creator, co-writer, and co-star, Benny Safdie, has become as recognizable as a performer in making uncompromisingly dark films like "Good Time" and "Uncut Gems," which push their characters past the breaking point and into unexpected realms. What "The Curse" does lines up well with both Fielder and Safdie, and...

In a recent interview, Hall is opening up about how she was able to continue filming with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa following their split.
“There were hard, tense days, but it wasn’t a reality show based on a marriage; it was still about the houses, so that made it easier,” Hall told Us Weekly. “We had to show up, do our jobs and then went home and didn’t have to talk to each other.”
Hall starred with El Moussa on Flip or Flop for 10 seasons and in the same interview, she recalled how she got started on television.

Max is finally here. Back in April, Warner Bros. Discovery officially announced the company's new streaming service, which combines the libraries of HBO Max and Discovery+, completely replacing the former. Shows like "Succession" and "The White Lotus" will live side by side with "Property Brothers" and "Flip or Flop." In a press release, the company described Max as an "enhanced streaming service." The new website, max.com, launched May 23.
News of plans for a joint streaming service first broke in August 2022, with CEO David Zaslav sharing it during a quarterly earnings call. Both HBO Max and Discovery+ reach a combined 92 million subscribers, per the quarterly earnings report, and the company hopes to reach 130 million global subscribers by 2025. Jean-Briac Perrette, Discovery's CEO, said at the time that he hoped the new streamer will be the best of both worlds. "We recognize that both of our existing products have shortcomings," he said during the call.

After much speculation and discussion over the last several weeks, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced its big, rebranded streaming service that will bring HBO Max and Discovery+ under one roof. As has widely been presumed, the service will simply be called Max, and it will roll out with three different price points beginning in May. Thus, ushering in yet another new moment in the ongoing streaming wars. Chiefly, Wbd is pivoting away from the HBO brand as the anchor for its flagship streaming offering, which is a decision that has prompted a great deal of conversation.

Range Media Partners has hired ICM vet Denise Draper as partner in its nonscripted division.
In her new role at talent management startup Range, Draper will continue to work with talent, showrunners and production companies in the unscripted space, which is largely what her focus has been during her six-year tenure at ICM. During her time at the agency, Draper sold Netflix’s “Bling Empire,” produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions, and worked with production companies Thinkfactory Media, Jeff Jenkins Productions and Machete TV. Additionally, Draper repped Christina Hall from “Flip or Flop” and “Christina on the Coast” on HGTV and her company Unbroken Productions.
Draper, who began her career at Rebel Entertainment Partners, has represented a roster of executive producers that includes Heather Crowe (“Love Is Blind”), Ian Gelfand, Karin Jarlstedt, Scott Jeffress, Elizabeth Jones (“The Kardashians”), Jeff Thacker (“So You Think You Can Dance”), Ailee O’Neill and Darren Ward,...

Chrishell Stause isn't the only one with a noteworthy dating history on "Selling Sunset." Not only did Heather Rae Young marry "Flip or Flop" star Tarek El Moussa, but Emma Hernan has apparently had her fair share of high-profile matches on Raya. Raya, the dating app that's exclusively for celebrities and influencers, has been known to play host to people like Channing Tatum, Kiernan Shipka, and more, according to Us Weekly. As for Hernan, she reportedly matched with Ben Affleck. She talks about it in season five of "Selling Sunset."
In episode five, Hernan and Stause are chatting about their love lives when the topic of online dating comes up. Hernan admits she's been on Raya, which Stause isn't familiar with. That tracks, considering she was married to Justin Hartley up until recently and has only publicly dated a few people (including Jason Oppenheim) outside of that relationship. However, Stause...
