When outside the law firm that Elliot visits for the first time, they're discussing his alcohol problem, and a young man in a light blue shirt and mustard colored pants walks by. The same man walks by the same way as they move towards the car.
The screen in Elliot's car jumps around during the early school drop-off scenes--first, the time on the clock jumps backwards, and later, when Roy is driving, the song title changes, then changes back.
On the first day that Elliott takes Eloise to school, when Eloise stands near the school door and signals to Elliott to indicate that he loves her, initially part of the hem of her skirt is folded up. Then in the next shot her skirt hem is back down where it belongs.
Eloise's tablet changes position in the case several times during conversation. When she is facing away from the camera, it's on the first notch in the case. When the camera changes to Elliot, it's in the third notch, then back to the first notch when Eloise faces away from the camera again.
When Eloise has her iPad at the kitchen table, she has both hands on the tablet. When the camera angle changes, she is resting her head on one hand, and the tablet is propped up in front of her.
As Reggie pulls Elliot out of the pool, Elliott lifts his right leg out of the water onto the pool deck. An unconscious person would not be able to do that.
It's clear from the plant life, the lack of significant hills or mountains in most background scenes and the design of many of the buildings that the film was not made in California. Several of the trees are obviously those which grow in wet/humid climates, none of which would be located in California.
