This was exceptional.
Having been sent back to Dublin, Colman starts to question events from his own past, Lorna refuses to believe that her daughter was actually buried, and goes hunting for answers.
Excellent, the standout episode so far, controversial, dramatic, intriguing, it's gone up another gear in my opinion, the story has definitely switched, I was anticipating it to go into a possible adoptions story, it could well be heading that way.
Learning what a dying room was, was pretty sickening, can you imagine the cruelty that went on at the hands of the nuns.
Once again, I have to make one point, I am not a religious person, so I don't have any skin in the game as it were, but here we are once again, with the Catholic church being vilified once more, I'll say it again, can you imagine the uproar if other religions were the subject?
Engrossing drama.
9/10.

Great story, great storytelling--just one quibble
This isn't the only TV show I have this problem with (it was a regular problem on, among other shows, CSI). WHY are the lights so dim in just about every indoor scene? In particular, when Lorna confronts the evil Sister Eileen and afterward, when she's brought in to talk to Detective Massey, in each scene we can hardly see the actors because it's so dark in each respective room. Since when does any police station keep every room so dark?
"The Woman in the Wall" is a fascinating story, played out by fine actors, and it keeps getting more interesting--I'm just wondering why nobody believes in indoor lighting.

The Cruelty Man
Detective Colman Akande wants Lorna Brady is arrested for confessing to killing Aoife. Even though there is no body in the walls.
Akande unable to comprehend that Lorna Brady might just be a disturbed woman, deeply affected by her past trauma. Someone who might be seeing things.
The local police have had enough of Akande and want him to return to Dublin. They view Lorna as a vulnerable woman.
The episode sows seeds of Colman Akande's own trauma. How he got to be adopted, the only black kid in the home, unwanted and sent to the rejects room.
The story shifts to illegal adoption which Father Percy might have been involved with. It might have been how Akande ended up with his adopted parents.
The pace is still tedious, this is a story that should had been wrapped up by now. Instead there are two more episodes to go.
