- Monroe: He looks dead.
- Nick Burkhardt: I know he looks dead. Probably was for a little while, but he's not now.
- Monroe: You're telling me this guy is gonna wake up?
- Nick Burkhardt: Yep.
- Hank Griffin: And not in a very good mood.
- Eric Renard: How long has it been since we've been breathing the same air?
- Captain Sean Renard: Well, let me see. I believe I was 13, when my mother pulled me out of French literature class in Geneva and whisked us out of the country to keep us from being murdered... by your mother.
- Eric Renard: Yes. That was any exciting day, wasn't it?
- Captain Sean Renard: Not so much for me.
- Nick Burkhardt: How's the leg?
- Sgt. Wu: About as bad as my arm.
- Hank Griffin: What's wrong with your arm?
- Sgt. Wu: That's where I got a tetanus shot for the lady who sunk her teeth into me.
- Nick Burkhardt: Okay, let's give it a try. All right, so there's a Wesen called a Cracher-Mortel, and apparently he can spit something in your face that can paralyze you to the point where you appear dead but you're not. And when you wake up a little bit later, you are a little crazed and very violent. You want to destroying everything that you can see. Apparently, this has something to do with a voodoo ritual...
- Juliette Silverton: So, just a normal day at the office?
- Nick Burkhardt: You sure you're okay with this?
- Juliette Silverton: I am if you are.
- Nick Burkhardt: Let's just take it one Wesen at a time.
- Nick Burkhardt: I just wanted to say, and don't take this the wrong way...
- Juliette Silverton: What?
- Nick Burkhardt: Last night was the best night of my life.
- Juliette Silverton: Really? I don't suppose you could get the day off.
- Nick Burkhardt: I could... if people stopped killing each other.
- Nick Burkhardt: Is this a "shut the door" kind of conversation?
- Captain Sean Renard: My brother is here in Portland.
- Nick Burkhardt: [Shuts the door] Is he some sort of "your highness"?
- Captain Sean Renard: He's a Prince and he wields a lot of power in the Family.
- Nick Burkhardt: What's he doing here?
- Captain Sean Renard: He says he's here to discuss Family matters, but I never believe a word he says. You should know that his mother tried to murder mine. And me.
- Nick Burkhardt: That would make for an awkward Christmas.
- Captain Sean Renard: I wouldn't know. I was never included.
- Juliette Silverton: I now know why you couldn't tell me everything.
- Nick Burkhardt: I wanted to tell you. I just didn't know how. I was afraid fro you to see a world that I didn't fully understand.
- Rosalee Calvert: Why is this guy doing this here in Portland?
- Monroe: I know. I mean, we have food and donuts, but that's kind of the extent of it.
