Some television shows we miss the most have only lasted one season.
Many of these series found their way into our hearts because of their emotional heart or their wit.
Some we’ve loved for decades, and others are newer favorites, but the TV Fanatic staff wished that many of these shows had gotten better resolutions or a fairer chance.
There are so many one-season wonders that never received a fair chance.
While we’d love to showcase all of them, here are nine that remain in our hearts.

People have stopped making "Twilight" jokes about the Academy Award-nominated Kristen Stewart and "The Batman" star Robert Pattinson, while Zac Efron's turn in "The Iron Claw" had people campaigning on his behalf for an Oscar. Elsewhere, Jennifer Lawrence completed "The Hunger Games" and became the second-youngest person to ever win the Oscar for Best Actress, with all three main stars of the "Harry Potter" franchise having gone on to great success in other roles.

Millie Bobby Brown is terrific in everything that she does. She was only nine years old when she made her acting debut on ABC's "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," giving an endearing performance as young Alice in the inspired adaptation of the popular Lewis Carroll-created universe. Her performances throughout the "Godzilla" films, "Enola Holmes," and her career-defining role as Eleven in Netflix's "Stranger Things," a young girl with psychokinetic and telepathic abilities, only solidified her position as an incredibly talented actress. Along with being a performer, Bobby Brown has dived into the beauty industry, worked as a Unicef ambassador, and is the youngest person to be listed on Time's 100 most influential people in the world. In everything she does, she is a constant source of inspiration to teens. There's nothing Bobby Brown cannot do if she puts her mind to it — and it appears the young actress...

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses several major plot developments in Season 4, Vol. 1 of “Stranger Things,” currently streaming on Netflix.
For Season 4 of “Stranger Things,” Millie Bobby Brown had the rare opportunity to revisit the role that she’s been playing since she was barely 11 years old, by guiding another girl to play an even younger version of the character. Extended flashback sequences set in 1979 — four years before the events of Season 1 of the series — depict Eleven’s time as a captive child in Hawkins Lab with Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine). Since the vast majority of those sequences are seen through the prism of Eleven’s memories, Brown performed most of those scenes. But occasionally, young actor Martie Blair (“The Young and the Restless”) stood-in for the 9 year old version of Eleven, and her face was digitally replaced with Brown’s in post-production.
As the 18-year-old Brown explained to Variety,...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “The Massacre at Hawkins Lab,” the Volume 1 finale episode of “Stranger Things” Season 4.
The second part of “Stranger Things” Season 4 will debut in less than a month. But what member of the Hellfire Club can wait that long for answers to all the questions posed by the shocking Volume 1 finale, and its major reveal that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) created the Upside Down and the big bad Vecna, by locking One (Jamie Campbell Bower) inside the supernatural realm.
“Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer, professionally known as the Duffer Brothers, weren’t willing to spill on everything just yet when speaking with Variety to talk about the first seven episodes of Season 4 on Thursday — but they gave us plenty to go on until Volume 2 debuts July 1.

“Stranger Things” is an Emmy anomaly. The Netflix hit has taken home at least one trophy for each of its first three seasons, including the all-important Best Drama Casting prize in 2017, but it has yet to win an Emmy for any of its actors. Millie Bobby Brown arguably has the best chance to prevail for the just-released “Stranger Things 4,” being that she’s a two-time Best Drama Supporting Actress nominee for playing fan-fave character Eleven, aka Jane Hopper, aka the girl with telepathic and psychokinetic abilities who loves Eggo Waffles. But don’t forget, Brown was actually snubbed the last time the show was eligible in 2020. Can the British superstar rebound at the 2022 Emmys?
After making her acting debut as Young Alice in 2013’s “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” Brown became a household name in 2016 thanks to the instant success of “Stranger Things.” She earned an Emmy nom for...

Exclusive: Peter Gadiot (Queen of the South) and Kim Matula (LA to Vegas) are set as series regulars opposite Ben Rappaport and Alexandra Chando in NBC’s untitled drama pilot based on the award-winning Dutch series Adam & Eva. The pilot is written by The Village creator Mike Daniels and will be directed by Stephanie Laing.
The project, described as a funny and heartfelt drama, chronicles the epic love and lives of two complete strangers, Adam (Rappaport) and Eva (Chando), whose multiple run-ins begin to defy coincidence, leading both to believe in fate. The show breaks the mold by pairing a serialized, stand-up-and-cheer romantic comedy with the wildly diverse and often unexpected human stories of anyone who finds themselves six degrees from Adam and Eva.
Gadiot will play Felix, an ambitious fine art and fashion photographer whose depth and talent are an irresistible draw for Eva. Matula portrays Monica, a Midwestern...

For seven years, Disney's Once Upon A Time oscillated between being truly good and original content to being a trainwreck of what-the-hell-was-that?
Once Upon A Time Season 1 had a great hook and kept many people interested through Once Upon A Time Season 3. After that, fans started to taper off.
I saw it through to the end, and while I'm glad I did, it meant I had to suffer through what I would argue was not only the worst season of the show but the worst season of any show ever: Once Upon A Time Season 5.
Yes, the Frozen arc was flawed, yes, Once Upon A Time Season 6 was directionless, and yes, Once Upon A Time Season 7 threw out the timeline, but Once Upon A Time Season 5 is the season that nearly led me to quit the show.
What made Once Upon A Time Season 5 so bad?
Let me break it down.

Once Upon A Time in Wonderland has landed on Disney+.
Now that everybody has had the chance to binge it, let's discuss a truth universally acknowledged by all those who have seen both spinoff and original series:
Will Scarlet was screwed over!
Will was the best part of Once Upon A Time in Wonderland. No disrespect to Alice, Anastasia, Jafar, or even Cyrus.
We love Alice. She's a badass!
Anastasia had a beautiful arc, and she's a beautiful person inside and out.
Jafar was scary as F*#*@!
And while Cyrus was no Prince Charming, he had a charm all his own.
But let's not kid ourselves. Wonderland would not have been half as enjoyable without a certain thief.
The Knave of Hearts, Aka Will Scarlet, started as comic relief. He helped Alice, and we thought he might be in a love triangle with Alice and Cyrus.

Once upon an ABC schedule, Adam Horowitz and Edward Ktisis wrote a little show about fairy tales. Once Upon A Time spanned seven seasons, and at least three of them were really good!
While that last good season, Once Upon A Time Season 3 was airing, Horowitz and Kitsis made another show set in the Onceverse: Once Upon A Time in Wonderland.
Once Upon A Time in Wonderland only lasted one season, but for thirteen glorious episodes, it was one of the best things on TV. Being so short, it never made it to DVD, and it hasn't been on a streaming service in eons. Now, finally, it's coming to Disney+ this month!
As a die-hard fan of Wonderland, imagine my surprise when this news was met with equal surprise. Why you ask? Because a lot of fans of Once Upon A Time never even knew there was a spinoff.

Joining a list of Disney-owned titles that are being removed from other platforms, Once Upon a Time will be leaving Netflix on September 6th. Although nothing’s been confirmed yet as to where it will land, the show is most likely going over to Disney Plus, given the corporate relationship between the series and the Mouse House. This means that anyone catching up on the fairy tale-themed program doesn’t have long to finish up if they only have Netflix.
Once Upon a Time ran on ABC between 2011 and 2018, amassing seven seasons and 155 episodes. The show primarily explores the lives of Disney-owned characters and other figures from mythology and folklore, with echoes of comics such as Fables. Over time, the series also dropped in the likes of Elsa from Frozen to build on its existing catalogue of famous names.

TV romances are better when the characters involved have more to do than being someone's significant other.
Yet for some reason, many shows tend to only care about one half of the couple.
The result: too many TV characters who could potentially carry storylines are reduced to bit players.
Remember Henry Burton from Grey's Anatomy? We met him on Grey's Anatomy Season 7 Episode 10. He was a sick patient who could not afford medical care.
Teddy impulsively married him to allow him access to her healthcare insurance. Despite her insistence on the two of them not having a romantic relationship, Henry fell in love with him.
Teddy eventually realized she loved him back. They were happy together until he died on Cristina's operating table during Grey's Anatomy Season 8 Episode 9.

Mxyzptlk is headed back to Supergirl — but there’s a twist: Thomas Lennon (The Odd Couple, Reno 911!) will now play the reality-bending trickster nicknamed Mxy, who was previously portrayed by Peter Gadiot (Once Upon a Time in Wonderland), our sister site Deadline reports.
Gadiot’s Mxy came to National City from the Fifth Dimension in a two-episode Season 2 storyline, during which he unsuccessfully attempted to romance Kara Danvers. The character’s ability to shapeshift will play into his new appearance in the back half of Season 5.

Despite how young she looks, anyone who has ever seen an interview with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown would agree that she is wise beyond her years. Of course, given that she's an old soul with a baby face, few people know what the heck her age actually is. Born in Spain on February 19 of 2004, Millie recently turned 15 years old, which is pretty hard to believe, considering she's already received an Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series, made Time 100's list of the 100 most influential people, signed to Img Models, and been appointed a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador. Not bad for someone who can't even drive yet!
As well as being way younger than you would think (especially given her serious style), most people are also surprised to learn that Millie never received any formal acting training. After making guest appearances on shows such as Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,...

ABC has given the Heather Graham-led drama “The Hypnotist’s Love Story” a formal pilot order, Variety has learned.

The project is an adaptation of the Liane Moriarty book of the same name, with Moriarty attached as a producer. Katie Wech will serve as writer and executive producer. Along with Graham, David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, and Laurie Zaks of Mandeville Television will also executive produce. ABC Studios will produce.

When a freak tsunami hits a Malibu house party, a group of teenagers from diverse social circles are swept out to sea. The place where they wind up is new, but the high school politics and social hierarchies that emerge are not. From the wreckage, an unlikely leader emerges: A social outcast who has spent most of high school despising her fellow castaways, and now must master the social system she loathes if she wants to survive.
Katie Wech will serve as writer and executive producer, with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, and KristieAnne Reed also executive producing via Jerry Bruckheimer Television. CBS Television Studios will produce in association with Bruckheimer TV.
