Once again, I am forced to ask, "Why does this show exist?"
There was a case a few years ago. Little girl would wake up in the night screaming and crying and wetting the bed. Had her mother taken the girl to a psychiatrist, s/he'd have likely diagnosed Night Terrors and tried to figure out the source. Sadly, that is not what the mother did. Instead, she and the girl's father took her to the grandfather, who was an exorcist. In the process of performing the exorcism, they strangled the child to death. Those adults believed in exorcism over psychology and science. Mother went to prison for 3 years or so. Father and Grandfather were still awaiting trial, last I heard.
The case presented by Bishop James sounds like nothing more than an exaggerated teenager acting out. The loving teenage girl become a minion of evil through the power of puberty. He claims that he requires psychological screening for anyone asking for an exorcism, but his own previous stories show that to be a lie. Maybe if the parents had taken the girl to therapy (self-harm is a pretty good indicator that all is not well), and maybe stopped being fake, luvy-dovey suburbanites and tried being actual concerned adults, the girl's care wouldn't have scared them. That they went first to a priest tells me that they are both very stupid and very gullible.
All of these so-called exorcists immediately leap to the conclusion of "demon did it," without even considering mundane, normal explanations, and sadly, supposedly, so do a bunch of ordinary people.
This show is garbage. Bishop James whatever has absolutely 0 credibility, and the others aren't much better.
