Soili Saarinen was an advisor during the production of the series.
Due to budget restrictions, most of the Finnish and Swedish riders characters were greatly reduced during filming. Rasmus Blomqvist (Börje Jansson), Johan Mörn (Kent Andersson) and Pontus Linder (Bo Granath) are glimpsed in some shots of the scenes in Imatra and in the final funeral sequence. Ferandi Yennas, who plays Japanese biker Hideo Kanaya, is visible in a few shots from the first episode.
Originally, the idea was to make a generic fiction about the world of the Continental Circus, but then, when Soili Saarinen started to collaborate with the production, it was decided to focus solely on Jarno's story.
During the production in Croatia, a storm destroyed 200 meters of blue screen a few days before shooting. The art department was able to re-rig it in 36 hours, not affecting the schedule.
Seven Italian actors were hired in pivotal roles: Alessandro Fella as Agostini, Daniele Monterosi as Magni, Giuseppe De Domenico as Rocky, Sergio Pierattini as Benelli, Maurizio Zacchigna as Count Agusta, Lorenzo Acquaviva as Massimo and Francesco Roder as De Tomaso.
