"Strawberry with Lime" comes with a curious and humored premise where a clumsy snack bar worker (Álamo Facó) has his routine drastically changed when an unusual juice
request comes to his attention one day - the forementioned flavor of the title - and later on he's obsessed in following the client of such request (which happens to be a very
pretty woman). From the on, a series of confusing events comes to his life since his obsession in finding her never stops, and he even decides to make his own business
to sell the drink, which becomes a huge summer hit in the town.
The short has a fun and intelligent progression of events, somewhat quite believable despite the unusual situations, and the main actor is quite fun to watch. It's one of those unique situations where the unexpected takes over in amazing ways, specially when it comes to Pepe, the poor worker, who goes from just curious about the exotic juice to later find out he's deeply in love with someone who requested it, and it evolves to some dramatic bits. Like life, it's the surprises that turn things more special to live and experience, and to souls in love out there this is a quite affirmative film about the weird things one does when truly in love and also about the wake up calls whenever one's distracted with such issues.
