Principle photography for "The Dying Eye" took place over a 30 day interval from January 16th, 2013, to February 16th, 2013. Director Shiphrah Meditz had the interior locations filmed first to allow for more daylight time in February in the exterior scenes.
Old Town, Edinburgh featured as the primary location for the film. Other sets were Rose Street in the New Town and the Old Mansion Scene filmed in a Victorian-era house in Lanark, Scotland.
