- Ten-year-old Ronny has been missing since his birthday. Commissioner Brasch is investigating in a race against time.
- Ten-year-old Ronny disappears after his birthday party on his way back from his mother to the children's home. An intensive police search by chief inspector Doreen Brasch and her colleagues begins. Ronny's mother Sabine and her new partner René are immediately under suspicion. Sabine has been trying to regain custody of Ronny for some time. So far, however, without success because the youth welfare office does not consider them to be stable enough. Her new partner René, on the other hand, sees Ronny as a troublemaker who is sabotaging life together with Sabine and his daughter Josefine. As is so often the case, René and the boy quarreled that day. Ronny then runs away in a rage and with a bleeding nose. On the evening of his birthday, Ronny wanted to go fishing with his favorite childminder, Matthias Precht. Matthias lies in his first questioning and thus also comes under suspicion. What happened to Ronny, is he still alive? The search for the boy becomes a grueling race against time for Brasch and her colleagues, because the freezing temperatures reduce any chance of finding the child alive.—ADR Das Erste
