He and Second Officer Monday interview dozens of prospective recruits looking especially for insubordinate, independent thinkers who don't care if they live or die. The famous 30 Assault Unit (or 30 AU) is tasked with going in with the first assault wave with the sole purpose of obtaining information valuable to the Allies: war plans, coding equipment and the like. 30 AU does not enjoy the support of everyone in the military however.
