Aunt Tina is relentless in wanting to bring Leo home. She is granted a small-time frame to do so but must show progress with Leo or he will be forced to return. He uses this opportunity to steal from Leo's home and mistreat him in his vegetative state. When Tim finds out, he and Aunt Tina set Jonesy up and have him arrested. Tim works tirelessly to help Leo with no result. Time is up. Dr. Borson returns with a court order to take Leo back. Without a moment to spare, Tim has figured out what 'Debbie' means, and is able to unlock Leo's mind, getting him to respond. Dr. Borson is defeated, and Leo stays. Leo is heartbroken about his parents, and believes his wishes caused their demise. He must return to the accident site and does on a similarly stormy night. Overtaken by grief, again he runs into the maze. Lightning, as before, renders Leo unconscious as he shouts for redemption. When Leo comes to, he finds Tim and his parents with him.
