- Tamara: I'm not going anywhere until I get the truth.
- The Dragon: Interesting choice of words from someone who lied about being sick.
- August W. Booth: I was hoping... That's my problem. Hoping. Hoping that things can still work out. Hoping that I can find redemption for the mistakes that I made. But maybe some things you just don't come back from.
- [Marco apologizes to Mary Margaret for smuggling Pinocchio into the present world, at her expense]
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: I forgive you. You were protecting your son.
- Marco: No. I burdened him with a weight no child should have to bear, and I called it love.
- Tamara: You should've left. I counted on you to want to save yourself.
- August W. Booth: Maybe that's what I'm trying to do. I've lived a life of selfishness, cowardice and dishonesty. And only I can cure that. Not magic, not science, just me.
- Regina Mills: [to Mary Margaret, at Granny's] If I were you, I'd try the fish special. It's right up your alley: blackened sole.
- David Nolan: Ready to tell me what's going on?
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Yes. But before I do, you have to promise you won't get mad.
- David Nolan: That always means good news.
- The Dragon: Tell me. Why have you come?
- August W. Booth: [pulls up his right pant leg] You see that?
- The Dragon: No. Because the problem is with your other leg.
- [August chuckles and pulls up his left pant leg]
- The Dragon: You're turning to wood... Pinocchio.
- Regina Mills: [producing a key chain] You were just a boy when you gave this to me. Now look at you, all grown up. No wonder I didn't recognize you.
- Greg Mendell: Yeah, but I, I recognized you, because you look exactly the same, Regina. It's as if no time has passed for you.
- Regina Mills: A monthly juice cleanse. Does wonders for the skin.
- Regina Mills: I'll let Granny know that you'll be checking out tomorrow.
- Greg Mendell: Or what?
- Regina Mills: Contrary to what you might think, people *can* just disappear.
- Tamara: I've been searching for someone like you for a very long time.
- The Dragon: Ah. For magic.
- Tamara: It's rare in this world... so rare most would say it's... fiction.
- [Mary Margaret tells David about her fateful encounter with Regina]
- David Nolan: Why didn't you tell me?
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Because telling you makes things real, and I needed to believe it wasn't; that I could find a way to stop it, that redemption was possible.
- David Nolan: It is. Look at August.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: But it cost him... everything.
- David Nolan: You are not him, Mary Margaret, and you sure as hell aren't Regina. Which means, those are not the only two options. We'll find another way. I know it.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: What makes you so sure?
- [he places her hand over her heart]
- David Nolan: This does. And I know it better than anyone.
- Tamara: It was nice meeting you.
- [the Dragon produces some spectacular smoke effects from his body and comes flying towards Tamara]
- The Dragon: You haven't met me. At least not the real me.
- The Dragon: The body has a strange way of sending us signals, doesn't it? The tricky part isn't hearing them, but knowing what they truly mean.
- The Dragon: I need something close to your heart, something that cannot be replaced.
- [Looks at the necklace August is wearing]
- August W. Booth: This? It's... It's worthless.
- The Dragon: The pendant, perhaps, but the string... it was the string your father used to animate you as a freshly carved puppet. In a way, it first gave you life. It will serve as payment from your soul.
- August W. Booth: Will it work?
- The Dragon: Perhaps. Now... as any vendor from *this* world, I also need payment from your wallet.
