ABC Family is debuting a fun new yuletide movie Sunday, Dec. 8 with "Holidaze," starring Jennie Garth, who tells Zap2it that it's a fun take on the popular "Christmas Carol" idea.
"It has a very classic theme to it, someone who's living a certain life -- my character is living in the city and hustle and bustle of all that," says Garth. "She really doesn't have any desire to have kids or have a family, she just wants to be a career woman. She's cutthroat, she wants to climb the corporate ladder and be successful. Those are her main goals in life at the beginning of the film."
"But she gets sent back to her hometown, which she's not very thrilled about, to try to push the sale of a big warehouse through," Garth continues, "and she ends up having this life-changing experience there, which re-prioritizes her life and makes...

Jennie Garth and holiday spirit are hardly strangers to each other.
Besides Christmas-themed episodes of "Beverly Hills, 90210" in which the actress appeared as Kelly Taylor, she also has made the TV movies "Secret Santa" and "A Christmas Wedding Tail" ... yes, "Tail," as in "dog's tail." Now, Garth is back in seasonal mode by starring in "Holidaze," ABC Family's newest contribution to its "25 Days of Christmas" programming as it premieres Sunday, Dec. 8.
The film merges many traditional elements, with Garth playing a workaholic who returns to her hometown on a mission that's business, at least to begin with. A reunion with a former beau (Cameron Mathison, a fellow Season 5 "Dancing With the Stars" alum) and an accident that leaves her thinking she's living a totally different life -- as the wife of the ex-boyfriend -- change the trip, and the holiday, drastically for her.

Jennie Garth is going au naturel, eh? Braving the wintery climes of Toronto, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star took a makeup-free stroll Wednesday on the set of her latest film, Home Again. Sporting a hoodie with the logo of her boyfriend Jeremy Salken's band Big Gigantic, black sweats and her blond hair brushed back over her head, Jennie held a pair of curlers in her hand as she headed to the makeup trailer to get primped and costumed for the next scene. The ABC TV movie finds Garth playing Melody, a high-powered corporate workaholic for a retail conglomerate who gets more than she bargained for when she's sent to a sleepy town to convince the locals to let them build a new discount store.
