Dissonance explores the way reality is formed. We see this all through the frame of Heather struggling between her actions and her beliefs. The story then diverges to reveal the intersection of many individual dreams. Brian thinks his success comes from financial ventures and is seemingly invincible until playing both sides proves to be a bluff gone wrong. Bronwyn believes she can have it all - fame, freedom, and the stability of a loving relationship and fails to see freedom includes consequences. Hector is unable to compartmentalize her professional and personal life and mires her life in destruction. At the end, we find that no one was in control of their own reality but was influenced by someone or something much stronger.
