Too many Queens, no deliberations, not worthy of subscription

Unfortunately the latest two episodes, specially this one, with so many Queens doing Snatch Game felt so rushed and edited poorly. There are way too many Queens to be able to enjoy the Snatch Game in such short amount of time, I didn't know who was portraying Tim Gunn until after the runway, because if RuPaul visited the Queens before the Snatch Game, it was never shown and neither it was shown which character each of them were going to play, and we are talking about 14 contestants. This is not good, they probably wanted to prevent last season' Snatch Game fiasco, but it didn't work out.

Something that it's bothersome too it's that we don't get to see any deliberations at all. Everything feels so rushed, I don't understand why the moved to MTV if it's damaging the show. All of us international viewers, it's not worthy to pay a WoW+ subscription for this. So disappointed. I feel bad for the Queens, who work hard and spend money on their outfits and are barely showcased.

41 minutes episodes for 14 queens ?! It s a joke, a total mess. The 2 fist episodes were amazing and now this ?! And for Snatch Game ? The editing was almost like a video clip as fast as it went... Come on ! The first eliminated queen Irene Dubois had more screen time than Sugar ! This cast is fabulous, they deserve better ! Come back to an one hour show ! We need storylines, interactions with Rupaul, confessionals, overall we dont have time to connect with all the queens and know them ! Especially the one eliminated this week ! She deserves more... Please, fix that mess or give the length version on wow presents plus !

Best of a bad situation

Going into this episode everyone expected it to be a struggle. 40m to fit in 14 queens runways, 2 snatch games, and everything else.

The episode gets to the snatch game very very quickly and the editing suggests the snatch game itself was potentially not cut very much at all. This was a good decision and deserves recognition.

However, this leaves almost no time for workroom drama, deliberation, mini-challenge, or simply getting to know the queens.

Until there are fewer than 10 queens left, the episodes will continue to feel rushed, shallow, and somewhat soulless, but for the situation they were put in, this was a respectable 40m of tv.

Episode 3 Review: A Solid Episode

I really enjoyed this episode. Once again though, it was too short. I understand that MTV wants to make room for other shows but I am going to miss the 90 minute episodes. I really liked the Snatch Game. Mistress and Loosey did very very well. The runway wasn't my favorite as I felt some of the girls didn't go outside the box enough for the category. Overall I agree with the critiques the judges gave the girls. I personally think Aura should have been in the bottom with Spice. However, I know for sure production really wanted that Sugar vs Spice lip sync. I agree with outcome of the lip sync as well. I still feel like the episodes are rushed and go by so fast and are too short. Overall though it was a solid episode that I really enjoyed watching.

MTV Ruining the Show

When RuPaul said we were getting double the snatch game, MTV said we will see about that. No queen development, making it impossible to fall in love with the people on the show. The conversations before the challenge set up the show. Get to see the connection between the queens and RuPaul herself. It was a special moment and it gave the show body and substance that we want to see. Now we just get a show with no drama ahead of time. RuPaul, never go back to MTV again. I will watch for you, but never support another show on the network. The snatch games were entertaining at least, I'll give it that saving grace. And why are we hiding untucked between some awful show nobody wants?

Hypothetically, if a reality TV show is meant to air 60 minute (Without ads) episodes, then it's storylines, cast spotlights and the overall progression of the series will revolve around that 60 minutes. However, when said television show has its airtime reduced by 25%, then the spotlight for its contestants, its fluency and overall entertainment is jeopardized. I don't think it would matter if this was the best snatch game ever, the reduced run time makes the episode feel choppy and rushed. It sucks because the main franchise releases a season once a year. Also, I feel genuine pity for the queens as getting on the show is a dream come true and they spent thousands of dollars out of their own pockets for this season, compile that with production's obvious rigging. This could be a spell for disaster. MTV, it's not too late to save all of this.

worst episode on the franchise

Mtv really outdone itself this time, by cutting the runtime to half an hour, and this whole double snatch game thing, we actually got less snatch game than ever. What a shame for the most expected episode from every single season, for every single fan. I can't even imagine how the rusical episode will be, we'll get 5 minutes of reharsal and 5 minutes of actual rusical. Followed by 5 minutes of runways. Wow. The episode in itself really falls short, nothing ever lands, we dont have time to connect with any of the queens, there's no storylines being formed, there's no confessional memes, anything. Please mtv, there's still time to fix this mess.

Bad editing and choices from A to Z

FIRST: the format of 40 minutes is a joke, especially for snatch game! How the producers could think this would be a good idea to put 14 queens in a snatch game with this ridiculous amount of time! For me, there is only one explanation, the riggory. Its well known that Snatch game is the easiest challenge to edit in function of producers goals. They can cut some good lines from a queen they want to drop, and cut bad moments of the queens they want to keep. Second, we all know that the producers dream is a sugar-spice lipsync. So it was their chance to force this narrative. Did Spice and Sugar did good? Obviously no. But producers clearly make them look worst than they actually were to justify the famous lipsync. And they clearly saved other bad queens be making them almost dissapear of the episode by giving them 1-2 responses or by making look funny some bad lines. A bad editing with obvious producers choices, plus an horrible format, all you need to bomb an episode. Really unfortunate for all the talented queens of this cast.

Bring it back to 60 Minutes

Why on earth did MTV have to ruin this show? With this many queens, it is just not good enough to cut the show to a measly 40 minutes. If it isn't brought back to its previous length before the end of the season, I fear this is the end of drag race. Not only the horrific runtime, but untucked is broken up from the show by the nightmare that is the real friends of weho... Thanks MTV for making a mockery of the show and creating already one of the lowest rated seasons ever. The actual episodes aren't terrible, but you blink and suddenly its over and todrick hall is on your screen again. Just bring back the old time for goodness sake.
