Mick Foley is a former WWE Champion and one of the most recognizable names in wrestling lore. However, he is no stranger to projects outside of the squared circle and has pursued comedy, book writing, TV shows and many other things. Mick is the star in holiday documentary, I Am Santa Claus and recently chatted with BuzzFocus to share all things from being Santa to being beaten down by The Rock.
Thanks Mick for chatting with us today. So the first question is how does I Am Santa Claus stand out against everything else you’ve accomplished on TV and movies.
Mick Foley: Oh man, any documentary is a labor of love and you set out with realistic goals to make a really good movie that you hope people will eventually find. I really enjoyed being a part of it not only on screen, but also behind the scenes helping to shape it.

One of the most entertainingly twisted brawlers in the wrestling business, Mick Foley went to great (sometimes sickening) lengths to entertain wrestling fans.
Despite the soap-opera theatrics of wrestling, Foley nonetheless earned 300 stitches, a broken nose (twice), dislodged teeth, a dislocated jaw and broken bones from head to toe. Oh, and he lost an ear.
Is he a masochist? Actually, he’s a stand-up comedian, and has been for several years now, touring around the world from the UK to Ireland to Australia, and performing for American service-members in the Middle-East and South Korea.
A three-time WWE champion and two-time New York Times #1 best-selling author, Foley’s one-man stage show returns to Canada at the end of this month.
“Hardcore Legend: An Evening with Mick Foley, is by turns uproariously funny, simply surreal, and surprisingly sensitive – a full course meal for the senses, including a Q&A and...

Last weekend I was able to get an interview with The Hardcore Legend Mick Foley whilst at the press conference for the upcoming 2K Games WWE 2K14 video game.
Foley, who in his wrestling career was known for his extreme style of wrestling is more recently known for the extreme opposite to his former antics by releasing children’s books and dressing up as Santa Claus in the upcoming documentary ‘I Am Santa Claus’ by director Tommy Avallone. In this interview I ask the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion what lead to his involvement in I Am Santa Claus, along with his favourite SummerSlam memories and match of all time and his time as a commentator on WWE Smackdown a few years back.
As you’ll see towards the end of the interview Mick and I are joined by Scott Schwartz, an actor I didn’t recognise much to Mick’s dismay.

We’re about six months away from Christmas, so why not highlight a film about Santa Claus? Actually it’s a very appropriate time to discuss this particular film, because it’s about the off season for guys who play the role of St. Nick. Titled I Am Santa Claus, it’s a documentary that follows six Kris Kringles, including none other than pro wrestling legend Mick Foley. WWE Raw fans may be familiar with his appearances in the ring dressed as the jolly old icon, but for this film he went a bit further by even dying his hair and beard and fully trying out the gig as many men do every December. Additionally Foley is a producer of the doc, which is directed by relative newcomer Tommy Avallone. He’s been thanked in the credits for the films Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles and Indie Game: The Movie, which...
