Half-hearted effort
Typical of the lousy rom-coms made by Robby D. with funding generated by Digital Playground's "Pirates" hits of a decade ago, this Bibi Jones vehicle goes nowhere.
The director puts zero effort into the set-up scenes, clumsily staged as Bibi is accessory to boyfriend Tommy Gunn's robbery of Manuel Ferrara's check-cashing business. She is sent to prison (not shown) and the non-story picks up when after 3 years she is released to the Halfway House run by Veronica Avluv.
Lots of sex takes place there, but it is strictly mechanical, shot in claustrophobic close-ups by Robby. Corny plot has Gunn stealing the money Avluv keeps on he premises, only to be arrested by Robby D. himself playing a bald cop, cheaper than hiring an actor. Similarly perennial crew member Brah Bones "acts" the role of the guy who provides verbal exposition, sending Bibi to Avluv's place.
A good example of nothing ventured, nothing gained, when it comes to filming story or character driven porn without a decent story or characters.
