I like the way the work is being shown with enough commentary by the people doing the work so that you don't feel lost in what's being done. This is being done so that it fits when the next thing is being done.
This crew works together with none of the drama and tempers rising because of some ridiculous time limit. Y'all know the shows I'm referring to so no need to say the names. There's no big ego clashes, and I think that's because the one guy who has a legitimate claim to the whole ego thing, Shorty, is not a egotist. He knows what he can do and he shows his crew how it's done when they need to be shown and he leaves them alone when they don't need any teaching..
Even the newest guys get respect from the others, with just a little bit of ribbing, but it's all good-natured. So many custom automotive shows are all about clashing egos. This show just says "Later for all that noise". These guys just get it done and done well.
The finished product is as close as it comes to being perfect, and there's a lot of feeling for the owners whose car is a memory restored to life as much as the car is restored.
