- Emma Swan: Who's Milah, on the tattoo?
- Hook: Someone from long ago.
- Emma Swan: Where is she?
- Hook: She's gone.
- Emma Swan: [understands] Gold... Rumplestiltskin. He took more than your hand from you, didn't he? That's why you want to kill him.
- Hook: For someone who's never been in love, you're quite perceptive, aren't you?
- Emma Swan: Maybe I was, once.
- Hook: You're something of an open book.
- Emma Swan: Am I?
- Hook: Quite. Let's see. You volunteered to come up here because you were the most motivated. You need to get back to a child.
- Emma Swan: That's not perception, that's eavesdropping.
- Hook: Ah, but you don't want to abandon him the way you were abandoned.
- Emma Swan: Was I?
- Hook: Like I said. Open book.
- Emma Swan: How would you know that?
- Hook: I spent many years in Neverland, home of the lost boys. They all share the same look in their eyes - the look you get when you've been left alone.
- Emma Swan: Yeah, well, my world ain't Neverland.
- Hook: But an orphan's an orphan.
- Neal Cassady: Go. We got lucky.
- Emma: "We"? - This isn't your car either, is it?
- Neal Cassady: Huh?
- Emma: I stole a stolen car?
- Neal Cassady: [grins] Now, how about that drink?
- [a 17-year-old Emma breaks into a car, short-circuits it with a screwdriver and drives off]
- Neal Cassady: [appearing on the back seat] Impressive. But really, you could've just asked me for the keys.
- [four women are arguing about who should partner up with Hook to get the compass]
- Mulan: All due respect, I'm the best-equipped to go. How many wars have you been through?
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: My share...
- Princess Aurora: It should be me.
- Mulan: You? You haven't fought in a battle.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: This is about us getting home to *our* loved ones. Why would you...?
- Princess Aurora: I have no loved ones. If I fail, you can still go on.
- Emma Swan: It's me. I'm going, and I'm not gonna fail.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: You're new here.
- Emma Swan: It's about getting back to Henry. I don't care what I have to face. - You're not gonna argue with me?
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Would it do any good?
- Emma Swan: No.
- [while driving the stolen car, Emma gets pulled over by a police officer]
- Portland Cop: Licence and registration.
- Emma: [sweet apologetic smile] Hi.
- Neal Cassady: Terribly sorry, officer, but th-this is actually my car. I'm-I'm trying to, uh... teach my girlfriend how to drive stick.
- Portland Cop: She's got a lot to learn.
- Neal Cassady: I know. But, you know... Women.
- Neal Cassady: We've been on the road long enough. Maybe it's time we retire the Bonnie and Clyde act. So, then, I think, I think it's time.
- Emma: Together?
- Neal Cassady: Don't you wanna?
- Emma: Like where, Neverland?
- Neal Cassady: I'm serious. We could do this.
- Emma: Where?
- [Neal grabs a framed map of the USA]
- Neal Cassady: Where? I'll tell you where. Close your eyes... and point. Whatever spot you pick, that's our home.
- [Emma does as told]
- Emma: Tallahassee.
- Neal Cassady: We got a winner.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: You OK?
- Emma Swan: Two earthquakes and a jump from a beanstalk. I think my brain's still rattling around a little.
- Neal Cassady: Who are you? You got two minutes.
- August W. Booth: Think of me as Emma's guardian angel.
- Neal Cassady: Guardian angel? I'd say you've been doing a pretty crap job.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: When's the last time you slept?
- Princess Aurora: I don't really sleep now. Not after what I've been through.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: [understanding] Sleeping curse.
- Princess Aurora: The one time I did sleep, I had horrible nightmares.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: It's a side effect. Same thing happened to me.
- Princess Aurora: It did?
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Mm, I had them for months. Charming - my husband... He used to wake me. When I cried out, he'd light a candle. He said it would capture the nightmares. He'd watch over me as I fell back to sleep.
- Princess Aurora: Sounds like he lives up to his name.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: [heartily] Yeah.
- Princess Aurora: [about her nightmare] I was in this room, this, this red room. It was... bright - blood-red curtains. There was no windows and no doors, so it didn't make sense, and I couldn't get in or out. I was trapped. The curtains, they were on fire. It was horrible!
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: It's OK.
- Princess Aurora: I was hunched in a corner, and... I looked over into the other corner. And in the shadows, there was someone else there. I could just see his eyes. He was looking right at me.
- [in a minimum security corrections facility]
- Corrections Agent: Swan, you got mail. Know anyone in Phuket? I've gotta open this in front of you. Those are the rules.
- [she opens the envelope and withdraws a key on a chain from it]
- Corrections Agent: OK. Look. Car keys. Hope you got the car it goes with. Nothing else. No letter. Sorry. But, good news. You get a car when you get out.
- [she is about to leave, but turns around once more]
- Corrections Agent: And a baby. Congratulations.
- [last lines]
- Henry Mills: [about his nightmare] I wa- I was in this room. And... and it was red. And there was no doors, no windows. And these curtains... And they were on fire. And... I was in this corner. And... and, and, and I was looking up. And there was someone else there. She was staring at me through the flames. Th-then I woke up, and...
- David Nolan: Hey. Don't worry, all right? It was just a bad dream.
- Emma Swan: I am not having drinks with you. You might be a pervert.
- Neal Cassady: I might be a pervert, but you're definitely a car thief.
- Emma Swan: I said I was sorry.
- Neal Cassady: You didn't, actually.
- Emma Swan: Your sword; how strong is it?
- Mulan: The most powerful blade in all the realms.
- Emma Swan: Is it strong enough to cut through that beanstalk?
- Mulan: Indeed.
- Emma Swan: Give me ten hours. If I'm not back, you cut it down and keep going.
- Mulan: Snow won't like that.
- Emma Swan: That's why I'm asking you.
