Steve Perry has revisited eight songs from his 2018 comeback LP Traces for a new album he’s calling Traces (Alternative Versions and Sketches), due out December 4th. It features the tunes in acoustic form, stripped of much of the production from the original album.
“When writing these songs, the original inspiration is always my first compass — where the songs should go,” the former Journey singer said in a statement. “Alternative Versions & Sketches is exactly that, and I’m very excited to have you hear the original seeds of these songs.

Rising singer-songwriter Faouzia has released “Minefields,” a new duet with John Legend. The powerful ballad was co-written by Faouzia, Sam Martin, Ali Tamposi, and J Kash, and features Charlie Puth on piano.
“I’d love for listeners to get what they need from my voice,” Faouzia said in a statement. “If they feel healed or happy, that would be amazing. I hope it’s a safe place for them. I’m just a normal girl trying to be the best version of myself and help others do the same. I care a lot.

Morehorror.com sat down with Wren Walker, star of the upcoming horror film Peelers, to talk about the film.
Jonathan Weichsel: So, you have a new movie out called Peelers. I watched the trailer this afternoon and it looks awesome. I know you star in it. Care to tell me about your character?
Wren Walker: You liked the teaser? Awesome!! I play Blue Jean Douglas, a baseball loving former stripper turned owner of Titty Balls, a strip club in a nowhere town. She's tough as hell.
Jonathan Weichsel: Sounds awesome! I know you beat out two hundred other actresses for the role. What was the audition process like?
Wren Walker: I was literally the last girl to audition. I found the ad on Craigslist and was stoked to see if I could be in a horror movie, since I'm a huge fan of the genre myself.

When you're a film critic, your inbox and Facebook messenger can get clogged with so many requests to review films that it can be overwhelming. I get maybe five or six requests to review movies a day, coming from everybody from professional publicists, to teenage filmmakers making movies in their parent's backyards, and everybody in between. And the thing is, you have to say no to most of these movies, because you know that most of them are going to suck and you'd drive yourself crazy watching them, and also because you simply don't have the time.
Still, when director John Stewart Wildman sent me an unsolicited email to review his film (how these people find my...

You never know what might pop up in your screener queue. Sometimes you have to wonder if a pink slip from your editor may be just around the corner as the stuff they send can occasionally be atrocious so bad that you start to believe they just want you to quit but are just too darned nice to fire you. Then there are the flicks you receive which rock your world making you believe in your heart of hearts that these bosses of yours appreciate you want to keep you on the payroll forever and ever and that yes they quite possibly love you. The Ladies of the House falls under the latter category. Im sitting here post viewing thinking of the iconic Sally Field Oscar acceptance speech where she babbled You like me.

An intelligent grindhouse movie sounds like an oxymoron but that's just what The Ladies of the House plays out to be. A husband-wife team behind the film - John Stuart Wildman and Justina Walford, gives the genre a dash of feminist twist and the result is gory, tension filled ride that is also funny and touching.3 bros go to a strip club and behave badly and consequently get their comeuppances - sounds pretty formulaic but things get darker, weirder by the minute in The Ladies of the House. The men are there to celebrate a birthday of Kai (Rj Hanson), an obese, half-witted brother of studious and mild mannered Jacob (Gabriel Horn). But it's Derrick(Samrat Chakrabarti), their obnoxious friend who is the instigator and enabler...
