OK. It's time to let the viewer know a little more. We know there are threats everywhere. We know Mom is extremely fragile, even though she seems fine at times. The English teacher is in on everything (I know how dangerous English teachers can be, having been one nearly my entire life). There are some pretty intense scenes with big bald guys and guns. We also know that the really popular girl is in the middle of things. Suspense would work better if we knew who was who. There is also something going on with the cop and his son, the star athletes. He is a humorless guy with a quick trigger. It also sets up the fact that the kids cannot use the police if danger lurks.

Fantastic 2nd episode
sparklefish22 August 2023
I enjoyed Episode two even more than the pilot episode. Mickey's character continues to develop, as do the other main characters Spoon and Ema. The high school students' banter is entertaining and often humorous, which provides a nice balance to the intensity of the suspenseful and violent scenes.
Episode two features Shira more, and she has some great scenes. She's crude and caring at the same time. Her awkwardness with her former best friend Hannah hints at another interesting backstory to come.
The imagery of the blue butterfly is striking and I am curious about how and why it links many of the characters together.
