Exclusive: Iron Chef is back in the kitchen after Netflix cooked up a deal to bring back the classic food format.
The streamer has ordered Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, a reboot of the series that had a couple of incarnations in the U.S. including a Food Network series that featured the likes of Bobby Flay, Mario Batali and Wolfgang Puck.

Kate Hudson and former NBA player Baron Davis are the stars of social tonic company Cann’s latest promo video that launched today, a “Saturday Night Live”-style skit that sees the pair preparing the company’s brand-new spiked cannabis drinks before their holiday festivities.
But the real standout is Darren Criss, whose new single “Christmas Dance” (off his debut holiday album “A Very Darren Crissmas”) soundtracks the entire video. Plus, he makes an adorable cameo as an Elf on the Shelf, as he and Hudson reminisce about their time on “Glee” together.
Hudson and Criss’ on-screen cameos are no coincidence. Both performers are longtime investors in Cann, which creates CBD and Thc-infused tonics as an alcohol alternative for social events.

Full Bloom is a series, written by Patrick Holzapfel and illustrated by Ivana Miloš, that reconsiders plants in cinema. Directors have given certain flowers, trees or herbs special attention for many different reasons. The 2021 broadcast TV development cycle was unlike any other for the industry’s old-guard networks, and it wasn’t just because of pandemic-related disruptions.
This year marked the first time the springtime rituals of pilot season and upfronts week unfolded in network and studio operations that have been radically restructured to position programming, marketing and distribution operations for a future driven by mammoth streaming platforms.
Disney, WarnerMedia, NBCUniversal and to a lesser degree ViacomCBS have all undergone management overhauls during the past 18 months. Disney and NBCUniversal broke dramatically with long-standing tradition and reorganized TV and streaming operations to separate the functions of content creation and distribution. WarnerMedia moved to integrate Warner Bros., HBO and Turner more closely than ever before.
All of these moves have had the effect of centralizing programming and development operations. Content teams at Disney and NBCUniversal are tasked with hunting for intriguing properties that could be...

Buoyed by the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage, things looked really good for Lgbtq people at the start of 2016. Then came the Orlando massacre, and with it the reminder that queer people were not safe, not even within the comforts provided by its culture.
That was only six weeks ago, but it seems longer. Orlando has fallen out of the news cycle — for the media, too many fresher tragedies take precedence. There’s the police murders of black men, an assassin’s murders of police and the public in Dallas, the Nice attacks, and even another Florida nightclub shooting, this one in Fort Myers. And for the public, the crises converge. There were signs remembering Orlando at Black Lives Matter rallies, and the Lgbtq community responded to Orlando with anti-gun rallies and messages of support for Muslims.
