Dom Whiting is a DJ with a difference. During the pandemic, when nightclubs were closed, Dom decided to take clubbing outdoors so that people could still party. A mechanic by trade, he transformed a cargo bike so that it could handle his decks, a speaker and a phone holder to live-stream his sets. Dom took to the streets, pedaling away while blasting out drum and bass tunes, and quickly building an international following - his videos have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on YouTube. Now, Dom's cycling disciples turn up to ride along with his high energy sets in cities across Europe. We chart Dom's rise from eccentric inventor to mobile DJ superstar and ask, could this be the future of outdoor clubbing?
