As Mrs. Frederic is gliding her fingers along the dusty tabletop, her fingers slide past a pack of Morley cigarettes - the fictional cigarette brand of choice for many TV shows.
The title of this episode is a nod to a 1940's standard (song) entitled: "You Always Hurt the Ones You Love".
The scene featuring the F-16 bearing down on the air base with a field loaded with Mirage-type aircraft, supposedly an American Air Force Base outside Yuma Arizona, was a clip taken from the movie Iron Eagle (1986). The ground crew can be seen hitting the dirt as Doug Masters (Jason Gedrick), flying the F-16, began one of his strafing runs on the base prior to rescuing his father, Col. Ted Masters. All the aircraft are in fact Israeli Air Force jets, both the F-16 and the Kfir C-2s painted to appear as MiG 21s. All squadron insignia and other identifying marks were painted out for the film.
The jets sitting on the revetment when the "USMC Air Station" is first seen are Mirages, and the one flying over is an F-16 of a type not used by the USAF (The USMC use none of those aircraft). It could be a stock scene from an airbase in the Middle East.
