Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • At the end of Chapter 4 in the game, the player is forced to engage in a mini-boss fight with Scarecrow. The boss fight involves Scarecrow tossing and unleashing tanks of scare gas, which the player has to then clear from the area in order to defeat him. The boss fight is surprisingly non-violent, as it mostly involves the player having to solve a puzzle in order to remove the scare gas. However, this boss fight can be scary for younger children, as the screen turns green and gets all swirly to indicate that the player is being intoxicated with the gas. Scarecrow (who's already wearing a menacing-looking mask) also appears to become larger in size than he actually is. Fortunately, this portrayal of the scare gas's effects are much more tasteful and mild than in the other Batman games.
