Sex & Nudity

  • A scene of nuns bathing in white gowns reveals a characters breasts completely, through the wet cloth.
  • A fully nude Sydney Sweeney is showered by nuns while covering only her nipples and vagina.
  • Moderate.
  • The Third Act of the film shows Cecilia (Sydney Sweeney) Braless, showing her breast through her white cloth. Yet, there is no actual nudity.
  • As Sydney is a nun in the movie, she wears white dresses and they are transparent. Her white bra is sometimes visible and most times she is not wearing any bra showing her large breasts and nipples visible.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman gets her tongue cut off with a sword fully onscreen and then shows blood pouring out.
  • Several sequences of graphic violence involving severe blood and gore and strong aftermath.
  • A man uses a scalpel to cut a pregnant woman's stomach.

  • A woman falls to her death. Her face is revealed to be bloody and devastated following the fall.

  • Intense scenes of strong graphic bloody brutal violence including blood and injury detail, sequences of grisly torture, ritualistic violence, self-mutilation, disturbing images, suicide with graphic aftermath, gore, and animal harm.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Occasional jump scares and disturbing, nightmarish visuals.
  • A strong suicide scene with graphic aftermath detail.
  • In a nightmare sequence it shows a woman strapped to a chair where someone stabs her in the stomach.
  • Can be very upsetting, especially to those who have experienced miscarriages, or similar birth-related trauma.

Violence & Gore

  • The final shot of the film shows a closeup of a character graphically giving birth (focused on the woman's blood-soaked face), then biting through the umbilical cord, and slowly grabbing a rock to crush the child (the shot cuts to black before the rock is brought down).
  • A scene shows a woman repeatedly bashing a wooden cross into another woman's head then face resulting in bloody wounds and eventually brings the cross to her face and graphically beats her face in.
  • A man takes out a scalpel and inserts it into a pregnant woman's stomach, slicing and drawing blood. Then she retrieves a knife and stabs it into his throat where blood gushes out all over the woman.
  • Cecilia and the villain have a bloody fight in a cave which results in the Villain being stabbed in the neck; blood spurts out of his neck when the knife is removed.
