Tabor Heights is a fictional community, but the events depicted in the series are based on similar events that occurred in Atlantic Heights, a Methodist Community. The name was taken from Mount Tabor, a Methodist meeting camp located in Morris County.
Fort Tilden Park, the duned beach standing in for Cape May in the last scene regarding aviatrix Carrie Duncan, was totally destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. In addition, her biplane was not real. It was a CGI effect.
