Sex & Nudity

  • Nothing serious. In the beginning we can see a man in underwear.
  • A male dog's genitals can be seen for about a second. Non-sexual.
  • A woman tells a man she was pregnant.
  • A man and a woman hug each other.

Violence & Gore

  • The movie includes several brutal scenes which include mutant animals attacking and killing people. The second half of the movie is quite intense, frightening and brutal.
  • Two scientists discover a glacier which seems to be soaked in blood.
  • A dog finds a dead fox which has something in its belly. We later hear the dog whining in pain, and he has a bloody wound on its stomach, assuming something attacked him.
  • A scientist bangs his head and his head is bleeding.
  • Another scientist falls from a height and we see his bleeding finger. His company removes a shard from the finger. May be disturbing for a few people.
  • A man notices something creepy which is feeding on another animal. It is not graphic and mostly offscreen, however it can be really frightening as it is dark. We see a grotesque mutant animal for a moment a few seconds later. Quite disturbing.
  • A man talks to a woman on radio, telling her to be careful as others were attacked in the mountains by a sort of "rabid fox".
  • A mutant mosquito stings the neck of a man while he is taking photos. He splashes the mosquito and we see the bloody remains on his palm. Later his wound becomes serious and he is felling dizzy, presumably because of the mosquito-bite.
  • A man walks behind a rock to urinate. He realises that he is urinating on a gigantic isopod-like creature. The creature is kicked and it seems to be dead. Later on it is examined by a group of scinetists.
  • A man bangs his head into another man's head. The man's nose starts bleeding.
  • A man finds a dead chamois-like animal in the mountains. We see the intestines for about a second.
  • A man aims at his dog with a gun, presumably in order to shoot it dead. (The dog already has severe injuries). However he is convinced during a radio talk not to do so.
  • A man is having nightmares with blood-red images of glaciers and rivers, accompanied by creepy sounds. May be very disturbing for some.
  • A man runs into a cabin in terror. A few seconds later a huge chamois-like monster enters the cabin, trying to kill the ones inside. It is forced outside.
  • A cabin is rocked by unknown creatures from outside. We hear the bangs, see the cabin shaking and objects falling over. The scene is accompanied by creepy sounds from the outside.
  • A man and a women has a disagreement and they fight for a few seconds. Nothing major.
  • A man holds another man at gunpoint.
  • Three people find a woman in a cave whose face is completely crushed.
  • A man holds a man and a woman at gunpoint. The woman tries to hit him but the man overwhelmes her and he prepares to shoot the two, but he is disturbed.
  • A very huge, insect-like monster attacks a man. It grabs his face and bites it. Blood is streaming from the mouth of the man as he dies. The monster's mouth is foaming. Very disturbing and intense.
  • A monster attacks a man and a woman. The woman manages to pick up a pickaxe and stabs it into the creature several times. Blood sprays and foams out of the creature, onto the face of the man and the woman. Quite disturbing.
  • A woman finds a grotesque baby aside a dead dog. A man tries to stab the baby but he is stopped.

Profanity

  • Several uses of the "F" word, several uses of "shit", "piss", religious exclamations, name calling etc.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Several characters smoke cigarettes throughout the film.
  • In the beginning of the film we can see a man wasted, lying on the floor. He presumably has a hangover. He drinks alcohol at other occasions too.
  • A man gets morfium two or three times. He seems to be dizzy and hallucinating afterwards.
  • Two woman begin to drink rum when they are interrupted.
  • A young woman is narcotized. She seems unconscious.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The whole movie, especially the second half is very tense, disturbing and brutal, with plenty of violence, jump scares, darkness and several creepy mutant animals.
  • The idea of people being in peril in remote mountains, while terrorised by unknown species of creatures is very frightening and disturbing.
  • Throughout the film we get images of people being watched from between the rocks. May be frightening.
  • A man is having a blood-red nightmare. The scene lasts for about 30 seconds and can be quite upsetting.
  • A man is suddenly killed by a creature. Very disturbing. (See the "Violence and Gore" section for details.)
  • A young woman is chased by a flying monster, while she is running and screaming in terror. The monster attacks her when it gets close. Very scary.
  • People are terrorised in a cabin from the outside. The cabin is rocked and we hear creepy voices. Monsters find their way into the cabin. A monster is drilled in the head. Very graphic and intense.
  • A man looks out on a window only to face with a creature. Quite a jump scare scene.
  • A man tries to stab a mutant baby.
  • The view of the whole bloody glacier may be somewhat disturbing and upsetting.
  • Quite a creepy and upsetting movie, though not too gory. No nudity or sexual content and only mild amount of alcohol and drug use. The amount of violence is not too high, but the tension makes it quite disturbing and not that easy to watch. However, nothing too major if compared to hardcore horror films.

Violence & Gore

  • We see a young women running down the mountainside in terror, while a creepy, eagle-like creature is following her. She slips on a rock and falls onto the ground. The creature attacks her and stabs its claw(?) into her leg. She screams in pain and terror, and her leg is bleeding. We find out later that she survived, but has severe injuries on her leg.
  • When a group of tourists stop to take a nap at sunset in the mountains, they hear creepy sounds. Suddenly, a creepy eagle-like creature attacks a man, grabbing his head and stabbing a claw through his chest. The man dies on the spot. We can see blood streaming from his mouth. The whole scene lasts for about 30 seconds but it is very intense and disturbing.
  • An isopod-like creature sticks on the head of a woman. A man tries to help her by crushing the creature with a rock, but he accidentally crushes the head of the woman too. Graphic and disturbing.
  • A dog has very severe tumor-like injury, he is dying. A woman hands over a man a lethal injection to stab it into the dog. The man is crying but finally he stabs the injection into his dog who dies in a few seconds. Very moving scene.
  • A man looks out on a window only to face with an eagle-like creature. Then a chamois-like monster appears too, and forces its way into the cabin. An old lady grabs a drilling machine and drills into the monster's head several times, until it leaves. Blood is shown.
  • A young woman has a very severe, bloody injury on her leg, with some creature inside. People decide to operate it out of her. The woman is narcotized. An old lady cuts the thigh of the woman with scissors, while blood flows, and grabs the creature inside with an accessory. They then put it in the fire to burn. To sterilize the leg of the young woman's wound, they push a hot iron against it. The woman screams in pain as she wakes up. The whole scene is very graphic, disturbing, and lasts for quite a long time.
  • A terribly infected man enters a cabin screaming for help. He has bloody wounds and swellings all over his face and neck. He screams for help in pain. Blood sprays out of his wounds, into the eye of a woman who screams. Then mosquitos start to emerge from his wounds. The man dies and the mosquitos attack the people in the room. One of the most bloody and graphic moments of the whole film. Some may find it extremely disturbing.
  • A cabin is set on fire. One man catches fire, he runs out of the cabin and burns to death, while we hear (we don't see it) that a creature attacked him. We later see the dead body burnt to ashes, with an eagle-like creature on his head, also burnt to death.
  • A man and a woman find a cabin burnt down. They find survivors in the other cabin. It is assumed that a young woman died.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The man is hesitating to shoot his dog who has severe disease. Some may find it really upsetting. Later the dog is euthanised by a lethal injection. A man stabs the injection into the dog. We see the dog dead, the man is crying. A very moving and upsetting scene.
  • A man accidentally kills a woman while trying to crush a huge isopod which grabs the head of the woman. This scene is graphic and very upsetting.
  • A young woman has a mutant creature in her leg. She has severe pain. The creature is operated out. This scene is quite long, very graphic and bloody, and can be very disturbing.
  • A man has a bloody and infected face. He looks like an undead. Mosquitos emerege from his bloody wounds. His blood sprays and he dies on the spot. Extremely disturbing and graphic scene.
  • A cabin is burnt down and a man burns to death. Upsetting.
  • Three people are attacked by a mutant beetle-like creature. One of them is brutally killed. The creature is then executed with a pickaxe. Sudden, disturbing and graphic.
  • Near the end credits, as the rescue helicopter flies away and we see the image of the blood-painted glacier, suddenly a creepy monsters flies into the camera. Even though it is at the very end, it is one of the most sudden jump scares of the whole film and may disturb many viewers.
