Wayne Brady and Robin Roberts will see which is more “outstanding” at hosting their respective television shows.
However, they’ll face other tough contenders as they vie for an illustrious award.
Roberts is best known for her daily work on Good Morning America and her interviews and segments for ABC News. She also has her series on Disney+.
Brady has risen to fame on various TV shows, including Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Wayne Brady Show.
More recently, Brady has gained popularity as the host of the game show Let’s Make a Deal, which is part of CBS’s daytime lineup, including The Price Is Right.
He’s among the nominees due to his work on the game show but will have Roberts and others to contend with for the win.

If you were a young woman arriving late at night to a rental home in a horribly rundown neighborhood and it turns out to be already occupied by another renter, would you stay there anyway? Add to that the fact the other tenant is played by Bill Skarsgard, aka the demonic clown Pennywise in the two Stephen King It films, and you’d think that the heroine would run for the hills. But then you wouldn’t have a horror film. Especially one as supremely gonzo as Zach Cregger’s solo feature debut, which pulls out all the stops to drive its audiences into a terrified frenzy.
It’s difficult to talk about Barbarian, because it relies so heavily on unexpected plot twists that defy your expectations. To relate almost anything that happens after the first act would constitute a spoiler. And I mean the type of spoiler that would...

Amy Ozols’ late-night work is being seen an hour earlier, thanks to a recent move that took her from a co-executive producer spot at CBS’ “Late Late Show with James Corden” to the head writer position at NBC’s “Tonight Show.”
Ozols became head writer at the NBC late-night mainstay in January, though the network did not announce the hire. Her move to “Tonight” reunites her with host Jimmy Fallon, with whom she worked for many years on a variety of projects, including a substantial stint between 2009 and 2012 as a producer and staff writer during his tenure at NBC’s “Late Night.”
She fills a role at “Tonight” that had essentially been open since A.D. Miles, the show’s previous head writer, left in March of 2017.
Ozols had a hand in several of “Late Night’s” most notable parodies, including “Game of Desks,” a parody of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and “6-Bee,...

Sometimes it seems like there are certain people who just can’t lose for losing in this industry. Of course, sometimes we’re fine with that.
And, I don’t suppose you can say that Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s last effort was a loss, especially since a lot of people loved it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a bit of a fan, because I’m the right age, and if you’re that age too, you know that I’m required to be. Still, it isn’t just Gosselaar who’s at issue here, and this is a show “from the mind of” someone with a string of shows that didn’t get very far. Shows I liked, more or less, but shows that definitely didn’t take off.
I’m encouraged here, mainly because the theory of the show is intriguing, and Gosselaar could pull it off.

With "Parks and Recreation" ascended to heaven, "Community" descended to Yahoo and "Marry Me" and "About a Boy" preparing to evaporate into the ether, you might say that NBC's comedy brand was in jeopardy. That, however, would make the completely false assumption that NBC has a comedy brand. As the network heads into the heart of the Spring 2015 development season, NBC has a couple half-hour blocks of laugh-intended programming, which does not a "comedy brand" make. The network's confusion at its place-filling strategy is evident in the new Tuesday block of "Undateable" and "One Big Happy," which premieres on Tuesday (March 17) with the not insignificant boost of "The Voice," which NBC presumably hopes will prevent the ignominy of a network having to start 100 percent from scratch, comedy-wise, at the May upfronts. On the surface, "Undateable" and "One Big Happy" feel similar, at least if your concept of similar is "All...

One year after its temporary demise, pilot season continues to be alive and well at Fox, as the network ordered pilots for several of its highest profile scripts, including "Frankenstein" and the Americanized "Luther." The announcements came a little over one week after Fox ordered "Minority Report" report to pilot and days after Fox execs told reporters that "Shameless" and "Entourage" veteran Mark Mylod will direct that pilot. Fox's Tuesday (January 20) pilot orders were for the comedy "48 Hours 'Til Monday," plus dramas "Frankenstein," "Rosewood" and "Luther." The "Luther" pilot order is cast contingent, which means that it won't go to pilot until Fox can find somebody capable of being the American Idris Elba, presumably somebody other than Idris Elba with an American accent, though Idris Elba is attached to the "Luther" pilot as an executive producer along with Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner.
