According to Dizzie, the video was inspired by films The Magic Tree: A Tale from the Congo and Divine Horsemen: The Living Gods of Haiti.
Choreographed by Simo he included several West African dance moves like the Adumu, Yanvalou, and Calind.
The tribal wizard character is introduced as Mavungu the Hermit as he wears parasol leaves weaved together with white sagebrush foliage. Mavungu is undomesticated with no knowledge of the "new world" he is known as the Rada spirit because he stems from ancient Africa. He is the man who dropped off the face of the earth.
The contrasting character is Bokor the Invincible who comes from the Petro spirits who endured the many slave trades and the "formation of the modern Afrowizard".
Wizard jumps into the air rapping "I feel like a broke out my cage" falling to the ground in a crouching stance. The line serves as a double entendre, referencing events like the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793, the Underground Railroad, and Henry "Box" Brown.
