After a gay man to beat to death on Melbourne Beach, Florida, a composite sketch of the suspect is created. This sketch leads police to beach bum William Dillon, who soon finds himself condemned by everyone from his girlfriend to a celebrated tracking dog handler. The wrongfully accused is locked up for life, his fate hinging on a bloody t-shirt from the night of the murder, which if tested for DNA could not only prove his innocence, but the guilt of several real killers.
